Qatar National Vision 2030 supports ‘dialogue of civilisations, co-existence’
رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 أكدت على رعاية ودعم حوار الحضارات

The Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi has underlined that the State of Qatar pays special attention to the issue of Alliance of Civilisations, noting that the Qatar National Vision 2030 affirmed the patronage and support of dialogue of civilisations and co-existence among different religions and cultures.
Speaking during his meeting with the United Nations Alliance of Civilisations delegation here yesterday, Dr al-Hammadi said “Qatar’s support for the dialogue of civilisations, culture of dialogue and conflict resolution is reflected in its successful initiatives to resolve disputes and mediation in several issues, including the Darfur issue, the case of the Bulgarian nurses during the period of Gaddafi in Libya, the transfer of Catholic hostages in Syria to Lebanon, the mediation between Eritrea and Djibouti and other diplomatic mediation efforts of the State of Qatar.”, he added.
Dr al-Hammadi referred to the message of the Qatari Committee of the Alliance of Civilisations, which was established in 2010, to enhance the role of the State of Qatar in highlighting the contribution of the Islamic civilisation, as well as its role in promoting dialogue, resolving conflicts, emphasising the values of tolerance, solidarity and peace, and sharing experiences and benefits among peoples on the basis of the values of justice and equality, in order to achieve the lofty goals of human society.
For his part, the UN Envoy for Humanitarian Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Muraikhi met with the visiting UN Alliance of Civilisations delegation.
Dr al-Muraikhi briefed the delegation on the role of the humanitarian envoy in ensuring the strengthening of ties between the United Nations and the States of the region, supporting multilateral efforts for humanitarian response by highlighting humanitarian crises, drawing the attention of governments and non-governmental organisations to those crises and increasing their participation in the international humanitarian community.
He noted the completion of 35 initiatives during the first six months of 2018, and significant progress in achieving the objectives of the General Strategy for Humanitarian Affairs.
He highlighted his focus on resource mobilisation through the activities he had undertaken through two major initiatives represented in the initiative to promote bilateral United Nations engagement with targeted stakeholders and tripartite participation with stakeholders, as well as activities under the agency’s partnership initiatives, while building partnerships with the private sector to influence policy and the leadership role of the humanitarian envoy.
أكد سعادة الدكتور أحمد بن حسن الحمادي، الأمين العام لوزارة الخارجية نائب رئيس اللجنة القطرية لتحالف الحضارات، أن دولة قطر تولي اهتماما خاصا لموضوع تحالف الحضارات.. مشيراً إلى أن رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030 أكدت على رعاية ودعم حوار الحضارات والتعايش بين الأديان والثقافات المختلفة.
وقال سعادته خلال لقائه وفد زمالة الأمم المتحدة لتحالف الحضارات، اليوم، إن “دعم قطر لحوار الحضارات ولثقافة الحوار وحل النزاعات تعكسه مبادراتها الناجحة لحل النزاعات والوساطة التي قامت بها في قضايا عديدة، منها أزمة لبنان 2008، وقضية دارفور، وقضية الممرضات البلغاريات أثناء فترة القذافي في ليبيا، ونقل الرهائن الكاثوليكيات في سوريا إلى لبنان، والوساطة بين إريتريا وجيبوتي، وغيرها من جهود الوساطات الدبلوماسية الأخرى لدولة قطر”.
وأشار سعادة الدكتور أحمد بن حسن الحمادي إلى رسالة اللجنة القطرية لتحالف الحضارات التي تأسّست عام 2010، والتي تتمثل في تعزيز دور دولة قطر في إبراز مساهمة الحضارة الإسلامية، إلى جانب غيرها من الحضارات، ودورها في تعزيز الحوار وحل الصراعات والنزاعات والتأكيد على قيم التسامح والتضامن والسلام، وتبادل الخبرات والمنافع بين الشعوب على أساس قيم الحق والعدالة والمساواة في سبيل تحقيق الغايات السامية للمجتمع الإنساني.
من جانبه، التقى سعادة الدكتور أحمد بن محمد المريخي مبعوث الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة للشؤون الإنسانية، وفد زمالة الأمم المتحدة لتحالف الحضارات الزائر.
وأطلع المريخي الوفد على دور المبعوث الإنساني في ضمان تعزيز الروابط بين الأمم المتحدة ودول المنطقة، ودعم الجهود المتعددة الأطراف للاستجابة الإنسانية من خلال تسليط الضوء على الأزمات الإنسانية، وتوجيه عناية الحكومات والمنظمات غير الحكومية إلى تلك الأزمات، وزيادة مشاركتهم في المجتمع الإنساني الدولي.
وأشار إلى إنجاز 35 مبادرة خلال الستة أشهر الأولى من عام 2018م، وتحقيق تقدم كبير في إحراز أهداف الاستراتيجية العامة للشؤون الإنسانية.
ولفت إلى تركيزه على تعبئة الموارد من خلال الأنشطة التي قام بها عبر مبادرتين رئيسيتين متمثلتين في مبادرة تعزيز المشاركة الثنائية للأمم المتحدة مع الجهات المعنية المستهدفة والمشاركة الثلاثية مع الجهات المعنية، إضافة إلى الأنشطة التي تندرج تحت مبادرات الشراكة الخاصة بالوكالة، وبناء شراكات مع القطاع الخاص بشكل كبير للتأثير في السياسات، والدور القيادي الذي يقوم به المبعوث الإنساني.
