PM launches MME’s 5-year sustainable strategic plan
رئيس الوزراء يدشن الخطة الاستراتيجية 2018 – 2022 لـ «البلدية والبيئة»
DOHA: Prime Minister and Interior Minister H E Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani yesterday inaugurated the ‘Sustainable Strategic Plan 2018-2022’ of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment during a ceremony held at the Doha Sheraton Hotel.
The new strategic plan includes six sectors including urban planning, agriculture, fisheries, environment, municipalities and public and joint services.
The objectives of the strategy focus on the performance of the different sectors of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to serve the homeland, the citizens and the institutions in accordance with a strategic planning and government work, in the context of specific development objectives and capacity building at all levels.
The inauguration ceremony began with a short film about the Sustainable Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment for the next five years (2018-2022) and its most important sectors including urban planning, agriculture, fisheries, environment, municipalities and public and joint services. The inaugural ceremony was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers.
The ceremony started with launch of “Aoun” an application on smartphones which offers a total of 93 services of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment online.
Addressing to the ceremony, Minister of Municipality and Environment, H E Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi affirmed that the Ministry’s new strategic plan focuses on key areas that lead to excellence in the performance of different sectors towards serving the society at all levels.
Ministry guided its strategic direction with the principles, values and mission of the Qatari community and explored the strategic context of the wise leadership as the first mission of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to implement Qatar National Vision 2030 in strategic development, said the Minister.
He pointed out that one of the most important achievements of the strategy is that it has instilled an institutional culture of strategic planning and government action in the context of specific development goals and trends. “It will also stimulate the mind-set of performance management, which contributes to building human and technical capabilities to achieve the mission and vision of the ministry.”

كما تم خلال الحفل إطلاق برنامج التطبيق الإلكتروني عبر الهاتف المحمول «عون» كواحد من أهم الوسائل الإلكترونية الذكية لتوظيف التكنولوجيا في توفير خدماتها للجمهور في سهولة ويسر، وتقديم العديد من الخدمات الإلكترونية الجديدة.
وتتمحور أهداف الاستراتيجية بأداء قطاعات الوزارة المختلفة لخدمة الوطن والمواطن والمؤسسة وفق تخطيط استراتيجي وعمل حكومي، في سياق أهداف وتوجهات إنمائية محددة وبناء القدرات على جميع الصعد.
كان حفل التدشين قد بدأ بعرض فيلم قصير عن الخطة الاستراتيجية المستدامة لوزارة البلدية والبيئة للسنوات الخمس المقبلة 2018 / 2022، واستعراض أهم قطاعاتها في مجالات التخطيط العمراني وشؤون الزراعة والثروة السمكية وشؤون البيئة والبلديات والخدمات العامة والمشتركة. حضر التدشين عدد من أصحاب السعادة الوزراء.;
