Partial Closure on One Lane of Al-Corniche and Abdulla bin Jassim Streets
إغلاق جزئي لمسار واحد على شارعي الكورنيش وعبدالله بن جاسم
The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that it will implement a partial one-lane closure on each of Al-Corniche Street and Abdulla bin Jassim Street, in the direction leading to Hamad Al-Kabeer Street. The closure stretches 300m on Al-Corniche Street starting after Jassim bin Mohammed Street/Al-Corniche Street intersection, and stretches 450m on Abdulla bin Jassim Street starting after Jassim bin Mohammed Street/Abdulla bin Jassim Street intersection.
The closure will start on Monday, 20 August and will last for two months, in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. During this period, entrances and exists to the Northern side of Souq Waqif’s parkings will be closed during the night works only.
The remaining lanes on Al-Corniche and Abdulla bin Jassim Streets are open to traffic during the closure period, as shown on the attached map .
This closure aims to enable the completion of phase 2 of a project to develop stormwater drainage networks, through which stormwater drainage networks will be constructed in 51 locations in Doha City. These new networks will be linked to existing main drainage networks in the area, in addition to providing a stormwater storage and control areas.
Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their and others safety.
تعلن هيئة الأشغال العامة “أشغال” عن تنفيذ إغلاق جزئي لمسار واحد من شارعي الكورنيش وعبدالله بن جاسم بالاتجاه المؤدي إلى شارع حمد الكبير. ويمتد الإغلاق على شارع الكورنيش لمسافة متر من بعد تقاطع شارعي جاسم بن محمد والكورنيش، وعلى شارع عبدالله بن جاسم لمسافة متر من بعد تقاطع شارعي جاسم بن محمد وعبدالله بن جاسم.
يستمر الإغلاق من يوم الأثنين الموافق 20 أغسطس ولمدة شهرين، وذلك بالتنسيق مع الإدارة العامة للمرور. كما سيتم خلال هذه الفترة إغلاق مداخل ومخارج الجهة الشمالية لمواقف سوق واقف، أثناء العمل الليلي فقط.
يمكن خلال هذه الفترة استخدام المسارات المتبقية المفتوحة على شارع الكورنيش وشارع عبدالله بن جاسم، كما هو موضح بالخريطة المرفقة.
يهدف هذا الإغلاق إلى إتاحة المجال لاستكمال تنفيذ المرحلة الثانية من مشروع تطوير شبكات تصريف مياه الأمطار، الذي سيتم من خلاله إنشاء شبكات لتصريف مياه الأمطار في 51 منطقة في مدينة الدوحة. وسيتم ربط هذه الشبكات الجديدة بالشبكات الرئيسية القائمة بالمنطقة، بالإضافة إلى توفير مناطق لتخزين مياه الأمطار والتحكم بتصريفها.
وتهيب هيئة الأشغال العامة بجميع مستخدمي الطريق الالتزام بحدود السرعة المسموحة واتباع اللوحات الإرشادية حفاظاً على سلامتهم.
