Assassination bid on Maduro condemned

Qatar strongly condemned the failed assassination attempt on Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro while he was delivering a speech during a military parade in downtown Caracas. In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed Qatar’s total rejection of violence and political assassinations that will only lead to more violence and destabilisation, stressing that the use of intimidation and insecurity has never been the most effective way to resolve political differences. It added that Qatar stresses the importance of dialogue and peaceful settlement of disputes. The statement expressed Qatar’s sincere wishes for the people of Venezuela to enjoy peace, stability, prosperity and welfare.

أعربت دولة قطر عن إدانتها الشديدة لمحاولة الاغتيال الفاشلة التي تعرض لها فخامة الرئيس الفنزويلي نيكولاس مادورو أثناء إلقائه خطابا خلال عرض عسكري وسط العاصمة كراكاس.

وأكدت وزارة الخارجية، في بيان اليوم، رفض دولة قطر التام للعنف والاغتيالات السياسية التي لن تؤدي إلا إلى المزيد من العنف وزعزعة الاستقرار، وإن اللجوء لوسائل الترويع وزعزعة الأمن لم تكن يوما الوسيلة الأنجع لحل الخلافات السياسية، وقال البيان إن دولة قطر تشدد على أهمية الحوار والتسوية السلمية للخلافات.

وعبر البيان عن تمنيات دولة قطر الخالصة للشعب الفنزويلي بأن ينعم بالسلام والاستقرار وأن تكون السنوات القادمة بالنسبة لفنزويلا وشعبها سنوات رخاء وازدهار.;
