Ministry arrests gang of seven for helping maids run away from sponsors

Doha: The officials of North Security Administration of Ministry of Interior arrested a gang of seven people of different nationalities (African and Asian) for assisting maids run away from the homes of their sponsors and harbouring them in different regions of the country.
In a tweet on its official account, the ministry said that the gang were assissting the domestic workers (house maids) runway and then provide them work as maids illegally.
A number of gang members were arrested while sheltering runaway workers in their accommodations.
The arrested members were referred to the judicial authorities to complete the legal procedures in this regard.

أعلنت وزارة الداخلية أن الجهات المختصة بإدارة أمن الشمال تمكنت من إلقاء القبض على تشكيل عصابي مكون من 7 أشخاص من جنسيات مختلفة (إفريقية وآسيوية) تخصصوا في تسهيل هروب الخادمات من منازل كفلائهن وإيوائهن بمناطق مختلفة بالدولة.
وأوضحت الوزارة في سلسلة تغريدات على حسابها بموقع تويتر أن التفاصيل تعود إلى معلومات عن وجود تشكيل عصابي، يقوم بتهريب وإيواء العمالة المنزلية (الخادمات) ومن ثم تشغيلها بطرق غير قانونية.
وتم ضبط عدد من أعضاء التشكيل في حالة تلبس بإيوائهم للعمالة الهاربة في مقار سكنهم، وعليه تم توقيفهم وجارٍ إحالتهم للجهات العدلية لاستكمال الإجراءات القانونية المتبعة في هذا الشأن.
