Permanent Population Committee launches new website

DOHA: Minister of Development Planning and Statistics H E Dr Saleh Mohammed Salem Al Nabit, the Chairman of the Permanent Population Committee (PPC), yesterday launched the new website of the Permanent Population Committee, which represents an attractive media addition that includes the quality and compatibility elements required in the advanced websites.

The launch of the new website comes as part of the transformation and modernisation projects carried out by PPC, in the framework of enhancing and modernizing the means of communication aimed at achieving community partnership, as well as updating and developing media dissemination mechanisms that contribute to enhancing the society members’ knowledge about the population policy of the state and engagement in the joint work system and activities of the PPC to achieve the goals and objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

The new website aims to attract and invite different sectors of society to view the mission of the Committee and the principles and objectives of population policy, as well as giving information about the most important events, news, bulletins, reports, programs and future projects.

It also seeks to publish data on the progress made in the implementation of the population policy, and to provide observers with access to the objectives of the population policy and its connection to the National Development Strategy 2018-2022 and Qatar National Vision 2030, reported QNA.

The Minister stressed that updating and developing the new website would contribute to the provision of information and publishing the reports related to population policy in the country, pointing that the expected positive outcomes of this modernization will benefit decision makers in ministries, government institutions, business sector, universities, research centers and civil society organisations as part of the unified quest for sustainable population development.

هذا، وقد أكد سعادة الدكتور النابت على أهمية هذا التحديث والتطوير، الذي من شأنه أن يساهم في توفير المعلومات، ونشر التقارير المرتبطة بالسياسة السكانية بالدولة، مشيراً إلى أن المخرجات الإيجابية المتوقعة من هذا التحديث والتطوير ستعود بالفائدة على متخذي القرارات في الوزارات والمؤسسات الحكومية وقطاع الأعمال والجامعات ومراكز البحوث ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، في إطار السعي الموحد لتحقيق التنمية السكانية المستدامة.;
