MEC conducts inspection campaigns across Qatar
حملات تفتيشية على محلات الحلويات استعداداً لـ «القرنقعوه»
DOHA: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce has launched surprise inspection campaigns targeting a number of retail outlets specialised in selling sweets, nuts and Garangao accessories in Souq Waqif and across Qatar in order to monitor the compliance of shops with the provisions of law number 8 of 2008 on consumer protection.
The inspection campaigns come within the framework of the Ministry’s Ramadan initiatives under the theme #Aqal_Min_Al_Wajeb.” The ministry traditionally intensifies its inspection campaigns before and throughout the holy month of Ramadan as part of its efforts to monitor markets and commercial activities in order to uncover and crack down on violations and protect consumer rights.
The campaign resulted in 8 penalties for violations including missing price tags, failing to announce the products’ data in Arabic, missing Arabic invoices, weight differences and missing product descriptions.
Violations of Law No. (8) of 2008 on consumer protection can result in administrative closure and financial penalties ranging from QR3,000 to QR1 million.
The Ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any violations of Consumer Protection Law and its regulation. The ministry said it will refer those who violate laws and ministerial decrees to competent authorities, who will in turn take appropriate action against perpetrators in order to protect consumer rights.
واصل قسم الرقابة الصحية التابع لإدارة الرقابة البلدية ببلدية الخور والذخيرة، حملاته التفتيشية على المنشآت الغذائية، ضمن حملة «غذاؤكم…أمانتنا» التي أطلقتها البلدية تزامناً مع بداية شهر رمضان المبارك.
وجاءت الحملة بتوجيه من السيد جمعة خميس المريخي مدير بلدية الخور والذخيرة، في إطار حرص البلدية على صحة وسلامة المستهلك، ومنع تداول أي من المنتجات غير الصالحة للاستهلاك الآدمي.
وشملت الحملات التفتيش على المصانع العاملة في مجال إنتاج الألبان والأجبان والدواجن، بهدف التأكد من جودة المنتجات وطرق تخزينها ومطابقة درجات الحرارة بوسائل النقل لما ورد بالمواصفات القياسية القطرية، وقد تم سحب عينات متنوعة وإرسالها للمختبر المركزي التابع لوزارة الصحة العامة للتأكد من صلاحيتها للاستهلاك الآدمي.
وفي إطار حملة «غذاؤكم…. أمانتنا».. نظم قسم الرقابة الصحية ببلدية الخور والذخيرة حملات تفتيشية موسعة على محلات بيع المكسرات والحلويات استعداداً للاحتفال بليلة القرنقعوه.
واستهدفت الحملات التي شارك فيها أطباء قسم الرقابة الصحية وبحضور السيد مطر محمد الكواري رئيس قسم الرقابة الصحية، العديد من محلات بيع المكسرات والهايبر ماركت داخل نطاق بلدية الخور والذخيرة، والتي تعرض مستلزمات القرنقعوه للتأكد من مدى سلامتها وصلاحيتها للاستهلاك الآدمي، كما قامت بمعاينة بطاقات البيانات الخاصة بها علاوة على التحقق من سلامة تخزينها وفقاً للاشتراطات والمعايير الصحية.
