وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة تغلق صالوناً للتجميل لمدة أسبوع
Doha: Ministry of Economy and Commerce has shut down a beauty shop located in Madina Khalifa for one week for using expired products.
The closure decision comes within the framework of the ministry’s intensive inspection campaign to monitor markets and commercial activities in order to crack down on violations, price manipulation and counterfeit and substandard products.
Ministry posted on their social media channels that the beauty salon, Happy Hair, was fined and closed for a one-week period in line with article (6) of law number (8) of 2008 which stipulates: “No defective or adulterated commodity shall be sold, displayed, presented, promoted or advertised. The commodity shall be deemed to be adulterated or defective where it does not conform to the prescribed standard specifications, is unfit for use, or has expired”.
The administrative closure declaration shall be published at the expense of the salon that committed the violation in accordance with Article (18) of Law No. (8) on Consumer Protection.
The law stipulates that the closure decision shall be published on the Ministry’s website and in two daily newspapers at the expense of the violator.
A few days back the ministry had closed a Jewellery shop for two weeks for displaying and selling counterfeit international gold jewellery brands.
The ministry stressed that it will not tolerate any violations of Consumer Protection Law and its regulation and will intensify the inspection campaign to crack down on violations. The Ministry also said it will refer those who violate laws and ministerial decrees to competent authorities, who will, in turn, take appropriate action against perpetrators in order to protect consumer rights.
The ministry urged all consumers to report violations or submit complaints and suggestions to its consumer protection and anti-commercial fraud department through its call centre on 16001.
أعلنت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة عن إغلاق صالون للتجميل في مدينة خليفة لمدة أسبوع إثر قيامه باستخدام منتجات منتهية فترة الصلاحية.
جاء ذلك في إطار الحملات التفتيشية المكثفة التي تنفذها وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة لمراقبة الأسواق والأنشطة التجارية بالدولة بهدف ضبط الأسعار والكشف عن التجاوزات والسلع المغشوشة والمقلدة وغير المطابقة للمواصفات القياسية.
وتم تحرير مخالفة وإغلاق صالون التجميل لمدة أسبوع، وذلك لمخالفته للمادة رقم (6) من القانون رقم (8) بشأن حماية المستهلك، والتي تنص على “يحظر بيع أو عرض أو تقديم أو الترويج أو الاعلان عن أي سلع تكون مغشوشة أو فاسدة، وتعتبر السلعة مغشوشة أو فاسدة، إذا كانت غير مطابقة للمواصفات القياسية المقررة أو كانت غير صالحة للاستعمال أو انتهت فترة صلاحيتها”.
ويتم نشر إعلان الإغلاق الإداري على نفقة الصالون أو المحل المخالف وفقاً للمادة رقم (18) مكرر من القانون رقم (8) بشأن حماية المستهلك والتي تنص على أن (ينشر هذا القرار على الموقع الإلكتروني للوزارة وفي صحيفتين يوميتين على نفقة الشركة المخالفة).
وتؤكد الوزارة بأنها ستكون حازمة في وجه كل من يتهاون في القيام بالتزاماته بقانون حماية المستهلك ولائحته التنفيذية، وستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط مثل هذه الممارسات وستحيل كل من يخالف القوانين والقرارات الوزارية المنظمة لعمل الإدارة إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة ضده وذلك حمايةً لحقوق المستهلكين.
