Ministry of Economy and HERE Global sign cooperation agreement

Doha: The Ministry of Economy and Commerce yesterday signed a cooperation agreement with the Dutch company HERE Global, which is providing navigation systems used by world’s largest manufacturers of cars, on the sidelines of Qatar’s participation in Hannover International Industrial Fair 2018.

As per the agreement, the commercial location data will be provided according to geographical distribution in Qatar so that the company will then be able to merge it with data and updates maps for navigation systems in cars, which will provide the users of these maps in the future a wide service to identify shops and commercial establishments accurately and specifically, as well as to search for shops and provide greater shopping choices for consumers.

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce will also be a strategic partner of the Company in the region and exclusively in the State of Qatar in respect of commercial enterprises.

HERE Global, in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and other parties, will be able to develop 3D maps in navigation systems for cars and other mobile vehicles.

The agreement was signed by IT Director at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce Abdullah Al Ali and Director of Cooperation and Corporate Relations at HERE Global Michael Bültmann.

HERE Global is specialised in data navigation systems used by more than 80 percent of globally recognized car manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Porsche and others.

The State of Qatar is taking part for the first time in Hanover International Industrial Fair with a 990 square meter pavilion. The fair is held in Hanover, Germany, from 23 to 27 April 2018, and will be the world’s largest industrial trade fair.

Hannover International Industrial Fair, is the world’s largest industrial forum, attracting the world’s largest manufacturing companies. The five-day event covers a wide range of topics such as industrial automation, information technology, industrial supply, production engineering, services, energy and environmental technology.

وقّعت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة، أمس الجمعة، اتفاقية تعاون مع شركة HERE Global الهولندية المختصة في بيانات أنظمة الملاحة المستخدمة لدى أكثر مصنعي السيارات العالمية، وذلك على هامش مشاركة دولة قطر في معرض هانوفر الصناعي الدولي 2018.

بموجب الاتفاقية، سيتم توفير بيانات المواقع التجارية حسب توزيعها الجغرافي في دولة قطر، ليتسنى للشركة لاحقاً دمجها مع بيانات وتحديثات الخرائط الخاصة بأنظمة الملاحة في السيارات، مما سيوفر لمستخدمي هذه الخرائط في المستقبل خدمة واسعة لمعرفة أماكن المحلات والمنشآت التجارية بشكل دقيق ومحدد، وكذلك البحث عنها، وتقديم اختيارات تسوق أكبر للمستهلكين، كما أن وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة ستكون شريكاً استرايجياً للشركة في المنطقة والحصري في دولة قطر فيما يتعلق بالمنشآت التجارية.

تطوير

هذا ويمكن لشركة HERE Global، بالتعاون مع وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة، وبعض الجهات الأخرى، العمل مستقبلاً على تطوير الخرائط ثلاثية الأبعاد في أنظمة ملاحة للسيارات والمركبات المتنقلة الأخرى. وقام بتوقيع الاتفاقية عن الوزارة السيد عبدالله العلي مدير إدارة نظم المعلومات، وعن الشركة الهولندية السيد مايكل بولتمان مدير التعاون والعلاقات الحكومية.

يُشار أن شركة HERE Global مختصة في بيانات أنظمة الملاحة المستخدمة لدى أكثر من 80% من مصنعي السيارات المعرفين عالمياً، مثل «مرسيدس بنز»، و»بي أم دبليو»، و»بورشه» وغيرهم.

وأنهت وزارة الاقتصاد والتجارة، أمس الجمعة، مشاركتها في المعرض الذي بدأ يوم 23 أبريل، ويعتبر أكبر معرض تجاري متخصص بالقطاع الصناعي على مستوى العالم، وذلك من خلال جناح تبلغ مساحته 990 متراً مربعاً.;
