Qatar to Participate in Arab Games in Algeria With 104 Athletes

Doha: The State of Qatar is participating with 104 male and female athletes in the 13th edition of the Arab Games, which will be held in Algeria from July 5-15.
The participants represent 15 Qatari sports federations in 17 games: handball, volleyball, basketball, swimming, cycling, athletics, gymnastics, chess, fencing, sailing, boxing, karate, judo, table tennis and badminton, in addition to athletics and goalball for people with special needs.
The Qatari teams aim to achieve the best results and compete for medals in all games.
Qatar won 110 medals (32 gold, 38 silver and 40 bronze) in the last edition of the Arab Sports Games, which was held in Doha in 2011.
The countries participating in the Arab Games Algeria 2023 will compete in 23 games, including three for people with special needs. The competitions will be held in 5 cities: Algeria, Oran, Constantine, Annaba and Tipaza.
The organization of these games was entrusted to Algeria on March 14, 2023 in Jeddah, during a meeting of the Executive Office of the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees.

الدوحة: تشارك دولة قطر بـ 104 لاعبين ولاعبات في دورة الألعاب الرياضية العربية في نسختها الثالثة عشرة، التي تستضيفها الجزائر خلال الفترة من 5 إلى 15 يوليو الحالي.
ويمثل المشاركون 15 اتحادا رياضيا قطريا في 17 لعبة هي: كرة اليد، والكرة الطائرة، وكرة السلة، والسباحة، والدراجات الهوائية، وألعاب القوى، والجمباز، والشطرنج، والمبارزة، والشراع، والملاكمة، والكاراتيه، والجودو، وكرة الطاولة، والريشة الطائرة، بالإضافة إلى ألعاب القوى وكرة الهدف لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة.
وتطمح المنتخبات القطرية إلى تحقيق أفضل النتائج والمنافسة على حصد الميداليات في كافة الألعاب.
وكانت قطر حصلت على 110 ميداليات (32 ذهبية، و38 فضية، و40 برونزية) في آخر نسخة من دورة الألعاب الرياضية العربية، التي أقيمت في الدوحة عام 2011.
وسوف تتنافس الدول المشاركة في دورة الألعاب العربية (الجزائر 2023) في 23 لعبة، منها ثلاث لذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة، وستقام المنافسات في 5 مدن هي: الجزائر، ووهران، وقسنطينة، وعنابة، وتيبازة.
وقد أسند تنظيم هذه الألعاب للجزائر في 14 مارس 2023 بمدينة جدة، خلال اجتماع المكتب التنفيذي لاتحاد اللجان الأولمبية الوطنية العربية.
