Over 2000 Patients Seek Emergency Care during 3rd Day of Eid Al-Adha

Doha: The emergency departments of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) received 2045 cases of illnesses in adults and children during the third day of the blessed Eid Al-Adha. Dr. Aftab Mohammed Omar, Acting Head of Emergency Departments at Hamad Medical Corporation, confirmed that Hamad General Hospital received 499 cases. The most common cases seen in the emergency department of Hamad General Hospital were related to gastrointestinal issues, with a total of 97 cases, followed by 33 cases resulting from injuries, and 369 cases presenting various symptoms such as cough, cold, and heart problems.

Dr. Aftab Mohammed Omar stated that they operate with full capacity in three shifts, covering the entire day, and they receive all emergency cases, whether at Hamad General Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital, Al Khor Hospital, Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital, or Al Sheikha Aisha bint Hamad Al Thani Hospital.

The Acting Head of Emergency Departments at Hamad Medical Corporation emphasized the readiness of all emergency departments in the corporation’s affiliated hospitals. He added, “We are committed to providing services to all patients who visit us, and we ensure the presence of medical and nursing staff round the clock to handle different cases.”

Dr. Mohammed Al Ameri, Head of the Pediatric Department at Hamad Medical Corporation and Director of Pediatric Emergency, revealed that the pediatric emergency departments received 1336 cases during the third day of Eid Al-Adha.

He noted that Al Sadd Pediatric Emergency received 597 cases, while Al Rayyan Health Center’s emergency department received 279 cases. Moreover, the emergency department of Al Matar Health Center received 125 cases, and Al Thumama Health Center’s pediatric emergency department saw 69 cases. Additionally, the emergency department of Al Wakra received 191 cases, and Al Khor’s pediatric emergency department received 75 cases.

Dr. Al Ameri pointed out that all cases treated in the emergency departments were minor, with the majority being related to fever, tonsillitis, middle ear infections, respiratory issues, and simple gastrointestinal problems. Only three cases were admitted to the intensive care unit and are now in stable condition under treatment. Furthermore, there are 64 cases under observation.

Mr. Ali Darwish, Assistant Executive Director of the Ambulance Service at Hamad Medical Corporation, revealed that they received 210 ambulance service requests during the third day of Eid Al-Adha, including 153 medical cases and 57 accident cases.

الدوحة: استقبلت أقسام الطوارئ في مؤسسة حمد الطبية 2045 حالة مرضية للبالغين والأطفال خلال ثالث أيام عيد الأضحى المبارك. أكد الدكتور أفتاب محمد عمر، رئيس أقسام الطوارئ بالإنابة في مؤسسة حمد الطبية، أن مستشفى حمد العام استقبل 499 حالة، وأن أكثر الحالات التي تكررت في طوارئ المستشفى تعود إلى مشكلات الجهاز الهضمي، حيث بلغ عددها 97 حالة، و33 حالة ناجمة عن الإصابات، و369 حالة ترجع لعدة أعراض مرضية مثل الكحة والزكام ومشكلات القلب.

أوضح د. أفتاب محمد عمر أنهم يعملون على قدر كبير من الكفاءة بنظام متواصل على مدار الساعة، حيث يتم توزيع الفرق على ثلاث مُناوبات في جميع المستشفيات التابعة للمؤسسة، بما في ذلك مستشفى حمد العام، ومستشفى الوكرة، ومستشفى الخور، ومستشفى حزم مبيريك، ومستشفى الشيخة عائشة بنت حمد العطية.

أكد رئيس أقسام الطوارئ بالإنابة في مؤسسة حمد الطبية جاهزية جميع أقسام الطوارئ في المستشفيات التابعة للمؤسسة، مشيرًا إلى أنهم يعملون على توفير الخدمات لجميع الحالات المرضية التي تراجعهم، ويضمنون تواجد الكوادر الطبية والتمريضية على مدار الساعة بالشكل المناسب لاستقبال مختلف الحالات.

وأوضح الدكتور محمد العامري، رئيس قسم الأطفال بمؤسسة حمد الطبية ومدير طوارئ الأطفال بالمؤسسة، أن أقسام طوارئ الأطفال استقبلت 1336 حالة خلال ثالث أيام عيد الأضحى.

وأشار إلى أن طوارئ الأطفال في السد استقبلت 597 حالة، فيما استقبلت طوارئ مركز الريان الصحي 279 حالة، وقسم طوارئ مركز المطار الصحي 125 حالة، وراجع قسم طوارئ الأطفال بمركز الظعاين الصحي 69 حالة، بالإضافة إلى استقبال قسم طوارئ الأطفال بالوكرة 191 حالة، وقسم طوارئ الأطفال بالخور 75 حالة.

وأشار إلى أن جميع الحالات التي تمت معالجتها في أقسام الطوارئ كانت بسيطة، حيث كانت معظمها نتيجة ارتفاع في درجة الحرارة، أو التهاب اللوزتين والأذن الوسطى، أو مشاكل الجهاز التنفسي والجهاز الهضمي البسيطة، وأن هناك ثلاث حالات فقط تم نقلها إلى العناية المركزة، وأصبحت حالتها مستقرة تحت العلاج، بالإضافة إلى 64 حالة تحت المراقبة.

وكشف السيد علي درويش، مساعد المدير التنفيذي لخدمة الإسعاف التابعة لمؤسسة حمد الطبية، عن استقبال 210 بلاغات لخدمات الإسعاف خلال ثالث أيام عيد الأضحى، حيث تم التعامل مع 153 حالة مرضية، و57 حالة حوادث.
