Qatar Unifies its Tourist Visa Processes Through Revamped Hayya Platform

Doha: Qatar Tourism has launched the Hayya Platform in a new form, inviting tourists who currently need a visa to Qatar to enjoy the country’s famously warm Arabian hospitality and diverse touristic offering.

Taking place with immediate effect, the launch of the well-known Hayya Platform which allowed the entry of over a million visitors during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament and its application via smart phones, will become the single portal for all tourist and business visas to Qatar. This will unify visa processes for tourists, GCC residents and companions traveling with GCC citizens (whom are issued an Authorisation Electronic Travel’ permit).

The latest development reflects Qatar’s keenness to continue its investment in the tourism sector, which forms an important pillar to the economy, and reflects the longer-term strategic vision to position the country as the leading tourism destination in the region.

Tourists who require a visa to enter Qatar can apply through the Hayya Platform at www.hayya.qa, or through the application on their smartphones, and visit Doha, the Arab Tourism Capital of 2023.

In addition, Hayya holders will enjoy seamless travel and connectivity into Qatar as Hayya will be enabled for e-gate entry at Hamad International Airport. For those entering Qatar via land at the Abu Samra border, the Hayya Platform will provide a pre-registration option for faster entry for vehicles, making the start of a weekend getaway or longer stay in Qatar even smoother and more enjoyable.

For GCC nationals, the Platform provides an option to apply for an entry permit for companions. The Hayya Platform also provides further services that help round out a visitor’s stay, including maps, transportation options, offers and current events.

Commenting on the latest initiative, HE Chairman of Qatar Tourism and Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, Akbar Al Baker said, “Qatar’s national tourism strategy seeks to welcome over six million visitors a year by 2030. Already, Qatar is considered the most open country in terms of visa facilitation in the Middle East and the 8th most open globally, with more than 95 nationalities granted visa on arrival. We are pleased that the latest developments will further cement Qatar’s position as a leading tourism destination and will provide the opportunity for even more travellers to experience the country’s truly unique touristic offering.” From his part, Mr. Saeed Ali Al Kuwari, CEO of the Hayya Platform, commented: “The re-launch of the Haya Platform in its new form today is an extension of the strategic vision that the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy had previously developed, a vision that centres on the sustainable legacy of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. Previously, the Hayya card allowed fans from around the world to enter Qatar to watch their favourite teams during the world’s biggest football event. Today, the Hayya Platform is the legacy which we build upon, inviting visitors from all corners of the earth to visit our country and enjoy its authenticity, history, culture, hospitality, natural beauty and much more.” Following the unprecedented success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, Qatar has continued to welcome record-breaking numbers of tourists in the first quarter of this year. The country’s authentic culture, abundant natural beauty and world-class hospitality and leisure venues were experienced directly by international visitors during the world’s biggest sporting event late last year and witnessed by billions more remotely.

Visitors to Qatar will be privy to Qatar’s recently expanded hospitality and leisure landscape, which includes beaches and resorts, such as Fuwairit Kite Beach with its pristine shores and serene waters, and West Bay Beach, which has been developed in the heart of the city. In addition, families can enjoy premium shopping and dining destinations such as Printemps and Place Vendome, world-class museums including the National Museum of Qatar and the recently re-opened Museum of Islamic Art, all while selecting their stay from a collection of newly opened and industry-leading international and home-grown hotels including The Ned Doha, Raffles and Fairmont Doha and The Outpost at Al Barari.

الدوحة: أطلقت قطر للسياحة “منصة هيّا” بحلة جديدة، متيحة الفرصة بأثر فوري لمزيد من السياح الذين يحتاجون حالياً إلى تأشيرات دخول للاستمتاع بعروضها السياحية وضيافتها العربية الأصيلة.

جاء ذلك خلال مؤتمر صحفي مشترك لكل من سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر رئيس قطر للسياحة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، والسيد سعيد علي الكوراي، المدير التنفيذي لمنصة هيا، تم خلاله تسليط الضوء على توحد إجراءات التأشيرات السياحية من خلال منصة هيّا بحلتها الجديدة، والتى تهدف لترسيخ مكانة قطر كوجهة سياحية تناسب جميع الزوار.

ومع إطلاق المنصة الشهيرة، التي أتاحت لأكثر من مليون زائر دخول دولة قطر خلال بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، ستصبح منصة هيّا وتطبيقها عبر الهواتف الذكية البوابة لجميع التأشيرات السياحية وتأشيرات الفعاليات في الدولة، بما يضمن توحيد إجراءات إصدار التأشيرات السياحية والتأشيرات الخاصة بمقيمي دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي والتأشيرات الخاصة بمرافقي مواطني دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي وإخطار السفر الإلكتروني (Eelectronic Travel Authorisation).

وتأتي هذه الخطوة ضمن حرص دولة قطر على الاستثمار في قطاعها السياحي باعتباره رافداً اقتصادياً هاماً، والخطط الطموحة لتنميته ضمن رؤيتها الاستراتيجية الرامية إلى تعزيز مكانتها كوجهة سياحية منتقاة في المنطقة.

ويمكن حالياً لأعداد إضافية من الزوار ممن يحتاجون إلى تأشيرة لدخول دولة قطر التقدم بطلباتهم عبر منصة هيّا عبر الموقع الإلكتروني www.hayya.qa أو تطبيقها على الهواتف الذكية ليتسنى لهم زيارة الدوحة، والتي حازت على لقب عاصمة السياحة العربية لعام 2023، وبالإضافة إلى ذلك، سوف يحظى حاملو تأشيرة هيّا بتجربة سفر سلسة وسيتاح لهم الدخول عبر البوابات الإلكترونية في مطار حمد الدولي.

أما الزائرون عبر منفذ أبو سمرة البري، فتتيح لهم منصة هيّا خدمة مسار التسجيل المسبق (خدمة اختيارية) للدخول السهل إلى الدولة من خلال إصدار تصريح لمركباتهم، مما يجعل قضاء عطلة نهاية الأسبوع في دولة قطر أو الإقامة بها لفترة أطول عملية أكثر سلاسة ومتعة، كما سيوفر التطبيق لمواطني دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي خياراً في الحصول على تصريح دخول مرافقين من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.

وقال سعادة السيد أكبر الباكر، رئيس قطر للسياحة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية، إن استراتيجية قطر الوطنية للسياحة تسعى لجذب أكثر من ستة ملايين زائر سنوياً بحلول عام 2030. وحالياً، تعتبر دولة قطر الوجهة الأكثر انفتاحاً في تسهيلات منح التأشيرات في منطقة الشرق الأوسط فيما تحتل المرتبة الثامنة في ذلك عالمياً، مع إتاحتها لمواطني أكثر من 95 دولة حول العالم الحصول على تأشيرة فورية عند الوصول.

وأضاف الباكر “نحن سعداء بهذه التطورات الجديدة نظراً لتعزيزها مكانة قطر كوجهة سياحية رائدة توفر الفرصة لمزيد من المسافرين للاستمتاع بالعروض السياحية الفريدة التي تزخر بها”.

من جهته، قال السيد سعيد علي الكوراي، المدير التنفيذي لمنصة هيا: “تأتي إعادة إطلاق منصة هيّا بحلتها الجديدة اليوم امتداداً لرؤية استراتيجية كانت اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث قد وضعتها، تتمحور حول الإرث المستدام لبطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022”.

وتابع قائلاً: “إطلاق منصة هيّا هي أحد أوجه هذا الإرث المستدام، وما كان في البداية بطاقة هيّا، وسيلة المشجعين من حول العالم لدخول دولة قطر لمشاهدة فرقهم المفضلة والاستمتاع بحضور أكبر حدث كروي على الإطلاق، أصبح اليوم منصة هيّا، الإرث الذي نبني عليه لدعوة كافة الراغبين من جميع أنحاء العالم لزيارة بلدنا والاستمتاع بما تزخر به من أصالة وتاريخ وثقافة وكرم وأصالة وطبيعة متفردة، وغير ذلك الكثير”.

وأكد الكواري خلال حديثة بالمؤتمر الصحفي، أن الراغبين في زيارة قطر يمكنهم التقدم عبر المنصة وسيكون الرد خلال 48 ساعة، مشدداً على أن التأشيرات الصادرة عبر منصة هيّا غير صالحة للعمل ولا يمكن أن تتحول إلى تأشيرات عمل، وتخضع لشروط وتعليمات واضحة مدرجة بالموقع.

وقد حافظت دولة قطر على الزخم السياحي الذي صاحب منافسات بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، ولا سيما بعد نجاحها غير المسبوق في استضافة هذا الحدث العالمي، حيث واصلت الترحيب بأعداد قياسية من السياح خلال الربع الأول من العام الجاري. وقد حظي الزوار الدوليون خلال منافسات بطولة كأس العالم قطر 2022، والتي تابعها مليارات المشاهدين عبر الشاشات، بفرصة التعرف مباشرة على تراث الدولة وثقافتها الأصيلة وكرم ضيافة أهلها ووجهاتها المعروفة بجمالها الطبيعي الخلاب وفخامة مراكز الترفيه العصرية فيها.

وستُتاح للزوار فرصة فريدة لاستكشاف قطاع الضيافة والترفيه بعد التطورات الهائلة التي شهدها مؤخراً، من بينها تدشين المزيد من الشواطئ والمنتجعات والفنادق الفاخرة، وزيارة متاحف عالمية المستوى مثل متحف قطر الوطني ومتحف الفن الإسلامي المعاد افتتاحه، وكذلك الإقامة في مجموعة من أفخم الفنادق العالمية والمحلية.
