Japanese astronaut posts picture of Holy Mecca from the sky

Activists circulated on social media, a picture of Mecca and the Meccan Sanctuary from space posted by a Japanese astronaut on Thursday.

Japanese astronaut Noguchi Suichi commented on the photo he posted on his Twitter account: “Holy Mecca.. Saudi Arabia.”

For its part, the Emirate of Mecca republished the image via its official Twitter account, commenting: “A picture of Mecca from the International Space Station Meccan Sanctuary,” noting that it was Japanese astronaut Soichi Noguchi who took the photo.

وعلق رائد الفضاء الياباني نوغوتشي سويشي على الصورة التي نشرها عبر حسابه في موقع “تويتر”: “مكة المكرمة.. السعودية”.

ومن جانبها أعادت إمارة منطقة مكة المكرمة نشر الصورة عبر حسابها الرسمي بموقع “تويتر”، معلقة عليها: “صورة لمكة المكرمة من محطة الفضاء الدولية الحرم المكي”، مشيرة إلى أن رائد الفضاء الياباني سويتشي نوغوتشي هو من التقط الصورة.
