MOPH Affirms Keenness to Provide High-Quality Healthcare to Community

Doha: HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari stressed the keenness of the ministry and the health sector to provide high-quality healthcare services to the community, saying that the expansion of Primary Health Care Centers (PHCC) in various regions of the country comes within the strategic plans to meet the health needs of the population near their places of residence.

During the inauguration of PHCC’s new Umm Al Seneem Health Center, Her Excellency added that primary healthcare services have become more comprehensive, integrated, and consistent, focusing on health, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyles to improve the health and well-being of the population.

For her part, PHCC’s Managing Director Dr. Mariam Abdulmalik said that the new center will cover, with its services, the surrounding areas, with a capacity of 35,000 patients. It is expected that in the first year, 20,000 patients will be registered online or by visiting the center directly.

She added that while the focus is on establishing new centers, work is also underway to maintain and expand some of the current centers that are witnessing a large number of visitors, especially in densely populated areas. During the past 10 years, PHCC has succeeded in preserving the health of Qatar’s population by providing the best health services and constantly developing them through specialized clinics, and establishing more than five health and wellness centers in the country as preventive services.
After the opening of the Umm Al Seneem Health Center, the number of PHCC health centers reached 30 centers distributed in various regions nationwide.

The center is located in Zone 56, which includes Ain Khaled, Abu Hamour, and Umm Al Seneem. The registration is carried out according to the registered national address.

Umm Al Seneem Health Center provides all basic services from 7 am to 11 pm – Sunday to Thursday. The services and clinics available are: Family Medicine; Antenatal and Postnatal; Well Baby & Vaccinations; Womans Health; Non-Communicable Diseases; Smoking Cessation; Communicable Diseases & Travel Vaccine; Dental; Maternal & Child Health counselor; SMART health check-up; Dietitian; and Health Education. In addition to Specialized Clinics, including Ophthalmology, ENT, Dermatology, Audiology, and Optometry.

In designing the new health centers, people with special needs were taken into account to provide accessible services such as guiding signs of expressive images, Braille for the blind, appropriate toilets, wide corridors for ease of movement, automatic doors, reception desks of appropriate height, and parking spaces close to the main entrances and ramps.

When designing the building, it was taken into account that it should be characterized by the Qatari heritage, conform to the highest international fire safety standards, and, most importantly, the health center’s engineering to absorb modern medical equipment.

الدوحة: أكدت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزير الصحة العامة، على حرص الوزارة ومؤسسات القطاع الصحي على ضمان توفير خدمات رعاية صحية فائقة الجودة لجميع أفراد المجتمع، وقالت إن التوسع في افتتاح مراكز الرعاية الصحية الأولية في مختلف مناطق الدولة، يأتي ضمن الخطط الاستراتيجية لتلبية الاحتياجات الصحية للسكان وبالقرب من أماكن إقاماتهم.

وأضافت سعادتها، خلال افتتاح مركز /أم السنيم/ الصحي الجديد التابع لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، أن خدمات الرعاية الصحية الأولية أصبحت أكثر شمولا وتكاملا واتساقا، مع التركيز على الصحة والوقاية من الأمراض وأنماط الحياة الصحية، ضمن نظام صحي متكامل لتحسين صحة السكان ورفاههم.

ومن جانبها قالت الدكتورة مريم عبدالملك مدير عام مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، إن المركز الجديد سوف يغطي، بخدماته، المناطق المحيطة، حيث تبلغ طاقته الاستيعابية 35 ألف مراجع، ويتوقع أن يتم تسجيل 20 ألف مراجع في العام الأول من خلال التسجيل الإلكتروني أو زيارة المركز بشكل مباشر.

وأضافت أنه في الوقت الذي يتم فيه التركيز على إنشاء مراكز جديدة، يجري أيضا العمل على صيانة وتوسيع بعض المراكز الحالية التي تشهد إقبالا كبيرا من المراجعين، خاصة تلك التي تخدم مناطق مرتفعة الكثافة السكانية، حيث نجحت مؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية خلال السنوات العشر الماضية في المحافظة على صحة سكان قطر بتقديمها أفضل الخدمات الصحية وتطويرها باستمرار من خلال العيادات التخصصية، بالإضافة إلى الخدمات الوقائية المتمثلة في افتتاح المؤسسة لأكثر من خمسة مراكز صحة ومعافاة في البلاد.

جدير بالذكر أنه بعد افتتاح مركز /أم السنيم/ الصحي، أصبح عدد المراكز الصحية التابعة لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية 30 مركزا موزعة على مختلف مناطق الدولة.

ويقع المركز في المنطقة /56/ التي تضم: (عين خالد وأبو هامور وأم السنيم) ويتم التسجيل فيه حسب العنوان الوطني المسجل للمراجعين.

ويوفر مركز /أم السنيم/ الصحي كافة الخدمات الأساسية من الساعة 7 صباحا وحتى 11 مساءً من الأحد إلى الخميس، ومنها خدمات طب الأسرة، ومتابعة الحمل وما بعد الولادة، والطفل السليم، والتحصينات الدورية والمرأة السليمة وعيادة الأمراض غير الانتقالية والأمراض الانتقالية، وتحصينات السفر، وعيادات الأسنان، واستشارات صحة الأم والطفل والفحص الصحي الدوري، إضافة إلى عيادتي أخصائي التغذية والتثقيف الصحي والعلاج الطبيعي، بالإضافة إلى العيادات التخصصية التالية: العيون، والأنف والأذن والحنجرة، والجلدية والبصريات والسمعيات.

وقد روعي في تصميم المراكز الصحية الجديدة حصول ذوي الاحتياجات الخاصة على خدمات مميزة من حيث اللافتات الإرشادية من صور معبرة ورموز طريقة برايل للمكفوفين ودورات مياه ملائمة وممرات واسعة لسهولة الحركة وأبواب آلية ومكاتب استقبال ذات ارتفاع مناسب، فضلاً عن مواقف قريبة من المداخل الرئيسية ومنحدرات بدلاً من السلالم.

وتم الأخذ في الحسبان عند تصميم المباني أن تتسم بالطابع التراثي القطري وأن تتطابق مع أعلى معايير الأمان العالمية في مجال الحريق، والأهم من ذلك هو أن التصميم الهندسي للمركز الصحي روعي فيه استيعاب التقنيات المستقبلية الحديثة في مجال التجهيزات الطبية.
