Doha: The Official Healthcare Spokesperson for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani confirmed that the medical plan adopted to provide services during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 tournament has been very successful so far, with the health sector being able to manage the increasing demand for healthcare, and the daily routine services provided to citizens and residents not affected.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Dr. Al Maslamani attributed this great success in accommodating the growing demand for health services, provided for fans, citizens, and residents to planning in advance and to good tournament organization, in addition to the great experience gained by the health sector in managing medical services during major events, such as the Qatar 2015 24th Men’s Handball World Championship, the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, the World Athletics Championship Doha 2019 all the way to the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.
Dr. Al Maslamani said that the health sector’s infrastructure underwent great development in the last ten years, with the construction of about 10 new hospitals and 16 health centers, added to the existing hospitals and health centers.
He added that the health sector has allocated 100 new clinics around the eight World Cup stadiums, as well as in the fan zones and in the areas where fans reside.
Dr. Al Maslamani stressed that the strategy followed by the health sector in Qatar in providing health services during the World Cup offered everyone access to medical service as soon as possible, without the fans’ need to travel long distances or go to hospitals to seek treatment. Even in cases when heading to a hospital was needed, ambulances were ready to transport any patient to hospitals.
He pointed out that the allocation of the four hospitals of Aisha Bint Hamad Al Attiyah Hospital (AAH), Al Wakra Hospital, Hamad General Hospital, and Hazm Mebaireek General Hospital to serve World Cup fans also contributed to providing high-quality medical and health services to fans without affecting the usual services provided to citizens and residents.
Dr. Al Maslamani explained that the 100 medical clinics designated for the World Cup receive an average of 1,000 people per day suffering from simple and moderate conditions, such as: cold, headache, or cough, with 35 of them being transferred to hospitals to receive treatment and leave right away, and only about one to two people needed to stay in the hospital for observation, which is a very normal and appropriate rate in such large events.
He also pointed out that the ambulance service continues to play a major role during the World Cup, given that all World Cup stadiums are equipped with ambulances on site, in addition to fan zones and in the various regions of the country. Moreover, ambulance service arrival time has maintained its pre-tournament recorded record, which is 8 minutes after receiving the service request on the number 999.
The Official Healthcare Spokesperson for the World Cup Qatar 2022 Dr. Yousef Al Maslamani explained that roving paramedics were provided among the crowds in event areas, in addition to other emergency services, including paramedics equipped with Mechanical Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (mCPR) devices, and other first aid requirements.
He stated that all medical services in the State of Qatar, including those of the Ministries of Interior and Defense as well as QatarEnergy, in addition to Hamad Medical Corporation and the Primary Health Care Corporation all contributed to the success of the medical and healthcare strategy during the tournament, together with the additional medical and paramedical cadres that were employed to meet the increasing need for health services, joining the distinguished and skilled cadres of doctors, nurses, technicians and paramedics, who work in the health sector in the State of Qatar.
Dr. Al Maslamani added that the intensive training that preceded the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 in cooperation with various bodies, especially the World Health Organization, as well as previous experience, made the health sector in the State of Qatar fully prepared, whether in cases of disasters or in the diseases prevention.
For his part, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 ambulance service operations manager Saleh Al Mejareh Al Marri said in a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA) that the health sector’s strategy during the tournament focuses on providing medical care close to the people, which means providing health services in almost all fan sites.
He pointed out that during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, a wide range of medical services are provided in every World Cup stadium on match days. This includes up to 13 medical clinics spread around each stadium, as well as medical teams and ambulances designated for footballers, and emergency services that include 31 mobile medical teams, and 8 ambulances per stadium.
Al Marri stated that the health sector provided more than 2,200 medical personnel working in multiple areas and events during the World Cup, providing a full range of healthcare services for all.
He stressed that emergency and urgent care is provided free of charge to all Hayya Card holders, whilst the cost of non-urgent services is charged at the regular fees rate.
In turn, Ali Al Khater, the chairman of the supreme healthcare communication committee at the Ministry of Public Health and the communication officer between the health sector and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, said in his statement to Qatar News Agency: during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, healthcare teams from various health sector facilities are working together to provide a wide range of medical support services and have already succeeded in accommodating the growing demand for healthcare, thanks to the significant expansion the health sector in Qatar underwent in recent years, enabling visiting fans to access high-level medical services.
Al Khater added that the most important pillar in the tournament’s healthcare strategy is to enable easy access to healthcare, thus, anyone suffering from an injury, or a life-threatening condition can call 999 to request an ambulance, where they will receive prompt medical care, and will be transferred to the appropriate medical emergency department.
He pointed out that the allocation of 100 medical clinics all around the country, be it in football stadiums, fan zones or main residential areas, contributed to ensuring medical support for fans and obtaining appropriate medical services.

الدوحة: أكد الدكتور يوسف المسلماني، المتحدث باسم قطاع الرعاية الصحية لبطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022، أن الخطة الطبية التي تم اعتمادها لتقديم الخدمات خلال البطولة كانت ناجحة جدا حتى الآن، وقد تمكن القطاع الصحي من استيعاب الطلب المتزايد على الرعاية الصحية، مع عدم تأثر الخدمات الروتينية اليومية التي يتم تقديمها للمواطنين والمقيمين في دولة قطر.
وأرجع الدكتور المسلماني، في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/، هذا النجاح الكبير في استيعاب الطلب المتزايد على الخدمات الصحية للجماهير والمواطنين والمقيمين إلى التخطيط المسبق والإعداد الجيد للبطولة، إلى جانب الخبرات الكبيرة التي اكتسبها القطاع الصحي في إدارة الخدمات الطبية أثناء التظاهرات الكبرى، انطلاقا من بطولة كأس العالم لكرة اليد في 2015، مرورا ببطولة العالم للأندية البطلة في 2019، وبطولة العالم لألعاب القوى في 2019 أيضا، وصولا إلى بطولة كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021.
وقال إنه في السنوات العشر الأخيرة شهدت البنية التحتية للقطاع الصحي تطورا كبيرا مع بناء حوالي 10 مستشفيات جديدة، و 16 مركزا صحيا، لتنضم إلى المستشفيات والمراكز الصحية الموجودة قبل ذلك.
وأضاف أن القطاع الصحي في بطولة كأس العالم خصص 100 عيادة جديدة حول الملاعب الثمانية، التي احتضنت مباريات البطولة حتى الآن، وفي مناطق المشجعين، وكذلك في المناطق التي يقيم فيها المشجعون.
وشدد على أن الاستراتيجية التي اتبعها النظام الصحي في قطر لإدارة الخدمات الصحية أثناء بطولة كأس العالم ساعد الجميع في الوصول إلى الخدمة الطبية بأسرع وقت، ولم تكن الجماهير بحاجة إلى التنقل لمسافات طويلة أو التوجه إلى المستشفيات لطلب العلاج، وفي حال كان الأمر يستدعي ذلك يتم نقل أي مريض للمستشفى بسيارة الإسعاف.
ولفت إلى أن تخصيص أربعة مستشفيات لخدمة جماهير كأس العالم، وهي مستشفيات عائشة بنت حمد العطية، والوكرة، وحمد العام، وحزم مبيريك، ساهم أيضا في تقديم خدمات طبية وصحية عالية الجودة للجماهير دون تأثر الخدمات الاعتيادية المقدمة للمواطنين والمقيمين.
وأوضح الدكتور المسلماني أن العيادات الطبية الـ 100 التي تم تخصيصها لبطولة كأس العالم تستقبل معدل 1000 شخص يوميا يعانون من حالات بسيطة ومتوسطة، مثل: الزكام، أو صداع الرأس، أو الكحة، ويتم تحويل 35 منهم إلى المستشفيات لتلقي العلاج والمغادرة في الوقت نفسه، في حين ربما كان شخص إلى اثنين يحتاج إلى المكوث في المستشفى للمراقبة، وهو معدل طبيعي ومناسب جدا في مثل هذه التظاهرات الكبرى.
كما أشار إلى أن خدمة الإسعاف لعبت ولا تزال تلعب دورا كبيرا خلال بطولة كأس العالم، حيث تم تزويد جميع ملاعب المونديال بسيارات إسعاف، إلى جانب توفير سيارات إسعاف في مناطق المشجعين، وفي مختلف مناطق البلاد، موضحا أنه رغم ذلك لم يتأثر زمن وصول سيارة الإسعاف إلى أي شخص خلال البطولة، وحافظت الخدمة على تميزها المسجل مسبقا، وهو 8 دقائق للوصول بعد تلقي طلب الخدمة على الرقم 999.
وأوضح الدكتور يوسف المسلماني، المتحدث باسم قطاع الرعاية الصحية لبطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 ، أنه تم إلى جانب ذلك توفير مسعفين متجولين بين الحشود، وفي مناطق الفعاليات وخدمات طارئة أخرى تضم مسعفين أيضا لديهم أجهزة إنعاش رئوي، وغيرها من متطلبات الإسعافات الأولية.
وأفاد بأن كافة الخدمات الطبية في دولة قطر، ومنها الخدمات الطبية لوزارتي الداخلية والدفاع وقطر للطاقة، إلى جانب مؤسسة حمد الطبية، ومؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية، ساهمت في نجاح استراتيجية تقديم الخدمات والرعاية الصحية أثناء البطولة، كما تمت الاستعانة بكوادر طبية وشبه طبية إضافية لتلبية الحاجة المتزايدة إلى الخدمات، حيث انضمت إلى الكوادر المتميزة والماهرة من أطباء وممرضين وفنيين ومسعفين، الذين يعملون في القطاع الصحي بدولة قطر.
وأضاف أن التدريبات المكثفة قبل البطولة بالتعاون مع مختلف الجهات، وخاصة منظمة الصحة العالمية، إلى جانب الخبرات السابقة جعلت القطاع الصحي في دولة قطر على استعداد تام سواء في حالات الكوارث أو في الوقاية من الأمراض.
من جهته، قال السيد صالح المقارح المري القائد الميداني لخدمة الإسعاف في بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 في تصريح لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/: إن استراتيجية القطاع الصحي في البطولة ركزت على توفير الرعاية الطبية بالقرب من الأشخاص، وهو ما يعني توفير خدمات صحية في كل مواقع المشجعين تقريبا.
وأشار إلى أنه تم في البطولة توفير مجموعة واسعة من الخدمات داخل كل من الملاعب في أيام المباريات، ويشمل ذلك ما يصل إلى 13 عيادة طبية منتشرة حول كل ملعب، وفرق طبية وسيارات إسعاف مخصصة للاعبين وخدمات الطوارئ تضم 31 فريقا طبيا متنقلا، و 8 سيارات إسعاف لكل ملعب.
وأفاد السيد المري أن القطاع الصحي وفر لبطولة كأس العالم أكثر من 2200 موظف طبي يعملون في مختلف المناطق والفعاليات في البطولة، ويقدمون مجموعة كاملة من خدمات الرعاية الصحية للجميع.
وشدد على أن الرعاية الطارئة والعاجلة يتم تقديمها مجانا للزوار كافة من حاملي بطاقة “هيّا”، بينما يتم احتساب تكلفة الخدمات غير العاجلة بالرسوم الاعتيادية.
بدوره، قال السيد علي الخاطر رئيس لجنة الاتصال العليا للرعاية الصحية بوزارة الصحة العامة ومسؤول الاتصال بين القطاع الصحي واللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث في تصريحه لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/: إنه خلال بطولة كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 تعمل فرق الرعاية الصحية من مختلف مرافق القطاع الصحي معا لتوفير مجموعة واسعة من خدمات الدعم الطبية، ونجحت بالفعل في استيعاب الطلب المتزايد على الرعاية الصحية؛ بفضل التوسع الكبير الذي شهده القطاع الصحي في البلاد خلال السنوات الأخيرة، مما مكن المشجعون الزائرون من الوصول إلى خدمات طبية عالية المستوى.
وأضاف أن أهم ركيزة تضمنتها استراتيجية الرعاية الصحية في البطولة هي تمكين الوصول السهل إلى الرعاية الصحية، كما يمكن لأي شخص يعاني من إصابة أو حالة تهدد حياته الاتصال بالرقم 999 لطلب سيارة الإسعاف، حيث يتلقى رعاية طبية سريعة، ويتم نقله إلى قسم الطوارئ الطبية المناسب.
وأشار إلى أن تخصيص الـ 100 عيادة طبية في أماكن مختلفة في الدولة، سواء في ملاعب كرة القدم أو مناطق المشجعين أو مواقع الإقامة الرئيسية، ساهم في ضمان الدعم الطبي للمشجعين والحصول على خدمات طبية مناسبة.
