FIFA British Journalists: Qatar Presented Outstanding Model

Doha: Several British journalists working for the FIFA website stressed that the State of Qatar presented an outstanding model in its World Cup organization, hailing the tremendous level provided by Qatar for organizing the 22nd World Cup edition, describing it as exceptional.

In their remarks to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the journalists expressed their content for attending the first World Cup being held in the Arab region and the Middle East and getting closely acquainted with an atmosphere that looks different from all previous World Cup editions, stressing that Qatar fulfilled the hosting task perfectly to present an outstanding hosting model.

For her part, a British journalist for the FIFA website Camelia Dominique expressed her great passion for attending the 22nd World Cup edition. She said that she could not hide her great admiration for Qatar’s exceptional hosting of this World Cup edition and would say that the criticism of Qatar we baseless and unrealistic, given the praises of the FIFA personnel as well as many heads of state and team officials.

She said that she had attended several matches during her coverage of the World Cup matches at Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, Khalifa International Stadium, and Al Thumama Stadium and she made a photo report on 974 Stadium, given its unique design and Al Bayt Stadium that resembles the Arabian tent. She said would always have beautiful memories that she tried to capture during her coverage of the World Cup matches in the stadiums as well as her social accounts on Facebook and Twitter.

For his part, Sagar Gautam, who works within the FIFA social media team, said that he was keen on coming to Qatar to cover the World Cup for FIFA media channels, as well as delivering the World Cup atmosphere through social media. He pointed out that he visited several World Cup stadiums and admired their exceptional designs that reflect the Qatari environment and modernity.

In his remarks to QNA, he said that he was mainly impressed by the 974 Stadium, given its innovative design using shipping containers. He made sure to capture some of his moments at that stadium, given the fact that it will be dismantled after the tournament, although he wished the stadium remained as a legacy for many matches and tournaments to come.

Sagar said he felt content throughout his stay in Doha and made sure to visit some of its places, including Sealine, Katara, Souq Waqif, and some museums, especially the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.

In this regard, Nadia Hayef, who works for the FIFA+ website, said that during her stay in Qatar, she was keen on visiting the eight World Cup stadiums to cover the World Cup atmosphere and capture rare moments for international football legends. She pointed out that given her work with FIFA, she was well aware of the massive scale of the achievement carried out by the State of Qatar during its World Cup hosting journey. She said that she knew what it meant for Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup and that they witnessed that in reality, which had a positive impact on several aspects of the country, and that she is confident that the tournament would leave a long-lasting legacy.

In a related context, Josh Stafford, who works as a videographer for FIFA + website, stressed that the World Cup atmosphere in Qatar is outstanding in light of the gripping moments of awaiting to know the winner of the 22nd edition trophy. Stafford, who was happy with his captured videos topping the list of FIFA’s most watched videos, indicated that Qatar managed to prove its presence among world countries that achieved the required standards for hosting mega sporting events, which undoubtedly was proven on the ground.

He added that the World Cup stadiums were the key to this event’s success, given their compactness, and the infrastructure that enabled the fans to easily access and move between the stadiums and the activities held on the sidelines of the World Cup.

الدوحة: أكد عدد من الإعلاميين البريطانيين الدوليين العاملين في موقع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم /فيفا/ أن دولة قطر قدّمت للعالم نموذجاً رائعاً في استضافة المونديال، مشيدين بالمستوى الهائل الذي وفّرته قطر لتنظيم النسخة رقم 22، والتي وصفوها بالفريدة من نوعها.

وأبدى الإعلاميون، في تصريحات لوكالة الأنباء القطرية /قنا/، سعادتهم الكبيرة لتواجدهم في البطولة التي تنظم للمرة الأولى في العالم العربي ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط، والتعرّف عن قرب على الأجواء المُختلفة عن أية نسخة سابقة من المونديال، وشدّدوا على أن قطر أنجزت مهمة الاستضافة بإتقان هائل، لتقدم نموذجاً رائعاً في الاستضافة.

فمن جهتها، عبّرت “كاميليا دومينيك”، الصحفية البريطانية في موقع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، عن شغفها الكبير لتواجدها في النسخة الـ22 من المونديال، وقالت: “لا أخفيك إعجابي الكبير بتميز قطر في استضافة هذه النسخة من المونديال، وأستطيع القول أن الانتقادات التي وجّهت لها في السابق كانت لا تمس الواقع بدليل الإشادات الكبيرة التي حظيت بها من قِبَل /فيفا/ وكذلك من العديد من رؤساء الدول ومسؤولي البعثات في المنتخبات المشاركة”.

وأشارت الصحفية البريطانية إلى أن المنتخب المغربي خالف كل التوقعات، وأشد المتفائلين في أوساط نقّاد كرة القدم لم يكن يتوقع أن يحدث ذلك، بيد أن منتخب المغرب قدّم مستويات رائعة، على حد وصفها، وكرة القدم تعطي من يعطيها في نهاية المطاف، وبالتأكيد المهمة غداً لن تكون سهلة أمامه، إلى جانب أن المواجهة ستكون صعبة على المنتخب الفرنسي.

وختمت: “لقد قمنا بمواكبة العديد من مباريات البطولة في الملاعب الثمانية سواء في استاد أحمد بن علي، أو في استاد خليفة وكذلك في استاد الثمامة، وجميع الملاعب التي سنحت لي الفرصة بتغطية المباريات فيها رائعة، وقد قمت بعمل تقرير مصور عن استاد 974 في ظل انفراده بتصميم فريد من نوعه، وكذلك استاد البيت الذي يشبه الخيمة العربية وبيت الشعر، وبلا شك هذه الذكريات الجميلة ستبقى حيّة في مخيلتي، وحاولت قدر الإمكان توثيق بعض اللحظات خلال العمل في الملاعب وذلك عبر حسابي الشخصي في موقعي إنستجرام و تويتر”.

من جهته، أكد “ساغر غوتام”، الذي يُعد من ضمن فريق التواصل الاجتماعي في موقع”FIFA+”، أنه حرص على الحضور إلى قطر لتغطية المونديال في قنوات الفيفا الإعلامية وكذلك الأجواء عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي، مبيناً أنه زار عدة ملاعب وقد أعجب بخصوصية التصاميم فيها والتي تعكس شيئاً من البيئة القطرية إلى جانب الحداثة في التفاصيل.

وقال في تصريحه لـ/قنا/: “أحد أكثر الملاعب التي أعجبتني هو استاد 974 الذي صُمّم بطريقة مبتكرة للغاية من حاويات الشحن البحري، وقد حرصت على توثيق بعض اللحظات في هذا الاستاد على اعتبار أنني علمت أنه سيتم تفكيكه بعد البطولة، وإن كانت آمل المحافظة عليه ليكون إرثاً تقام عليه عدة بطولات ومباريات قادمة”.

وأشار “ساغر”، الذي كان حزيناً للخسارة التي تعرّض لها منتخب بلاده أمام المنتخب الفرنسي بهدف مقابل هدفين في الدور ربع النهائي من المونديال والتي قضت على حظوظه وجعلته خارج حسابات المونديال، إلى أنه سعيد بالأجواء التي عايشها خلال طيلة فترة وجوده في الدوحة وحرص على زيارة بعض المناطق ومن بينها منطقة سيلين والحي الثقافي “كتارا” وسوق واقف وبعض المتاحف خاصة ومتحف قطر الأولمبي والرياضي 3-2-1.

وفي هذا الصدد، اعتبرت “ناديا هايف”، الإعلامية البريطانية التي تعمل في موقع “FIFA+” أنها كانت حريصة خلال وجودها في قطر على زيارة الملاعب الثمانية لتغطية أجواء المونديال، وأخذ لقطات نادرة لنجوم كرة القدم العالمية، مشيرة إلى أنها بحكم عملها مع “الفيفا” فقد كانت على دراية كبيرة بحجم العمل الكبير لدولة قطر في رحلتها لاستضافة المونديال. وأضافت في تصريح مماثل: “أعرف جيداً ماذا يعني أن تستضيف قطر كأس العالم، وقد لمسنا ذلك عن قرب، وقد انعكس إيجاباً على العديد من النواحي في البلاد، وأعتقد أن تنظيم البطولة سيترك إرثاً يستمر لسنوات طويلة.

على صعيد متصل، أكد “جوش ستافورد”، وهو مصور فيديو في موقع “FIFA+”، أن أجواء المونديال في قطر رائعة في ظل تصاعد الشغف واقتراب معرفة المنتخب الفائز بلقب النسخة الـ22. وأوضح “ستافورد” الذي بدا سعيداً لتصدر الفيديوهات التي قام بالتقاطها قائمة الفيديوهات الأكثر مشاهدة في موقع الفيفا، أن قطر تمكّنت من تسجيل حضورها في عالم الدول التي حققت معايير عالية في تنظيم أكبر حدث كروي، وبلا شك هناك شواهد كثيرة على كلامي.

وتابع: “الملاعب التي شيّدت لهذا الحدث كانت كلمة السر التي ساهمت في إنجاح الحدث خاصة قرب المسافات فيما بينها، إلى جانب البنية التحتية التي مكّنت الجماهير من سهولة الوصول والتنقل بين الملاعب والفعاليات التي أقيمت على هامش المونديال”.
