Qatar’s GDP for Q4 of 2019 reaches QR206.5bn

Qatar’s quarterly Gross Domestic Product (GDP) at current prices in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2019 is estimated at QR167.76bn, according to the figures released by the Planning and Statistics Authority (PSA).

The GDP has registered an increase of 0.2 percent compared to previous quarter (third quarter of 2019) revised estimate of QR167.45bn. The Authority yesterday released the preliminary estimates of GDP at current and constant prices for the fourth quarter of 2019.

The estimates have been produced by using the data collected through the Quarterly Economic Indicator Survey and from other source agencies. The estimates for the third quarter of 2019 have been revised.

The GDP has registered a decrease of 7.2 percent compared to the estimate of Q4 of 2018 of QR 180.74bn.

The quarterly GDP at constant prices in the fourth quarter of 2019 (QR206.58bn) shows a decrease of 0.6 percent compared to the estimate of the fourth quarter of 2018 (QR207.75bn).

However, compared to the third quarter of 2019 revised estimate of QR209.52bn a decrease of 1.4 percent is recorded. The nominal Gross Value Added (GVA) estimate of Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR54.68bn in Q4 2019, which shows a decrease of 19 percent over the estimate of Q42018 placed at QR67.51bn.

Compared to the previous quarter (Q3 of 2019) revised estimate, there has been a decrease of 1.9 percent in the GVA of this sector.

The real GVA of these activities in Q4 2019 is estimated at QR93.81bn, which shows a decrease of 3.4 percent over the estimate of Q4 of 2018 (QR97.14bn).

Compared to the third quarter of 2019 revised estimate, a decrease of 3.4 percent in the real GVA of this sector is also recorded.

T h e n o m i n a l G V A estimate of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities is estimated at QR113.08bn in Q4 of 2019, which shows a decrease of 0.1 percent over the estimate of Q4 of 2018 (QR113.24bn).

Compared to the previous quarter (third quarter of 2019) revised estimate, an increase of 1.2 percent has been recorded. The real GVA of these activities totalled QR112.77bn in Q4 of 2019, which shows an increase of 2 percent over the corresponding quarter in 2018 (QR110.61bn).

However, compared to the third quarter 2019 revised estimate, the real GVA of Non-Mining and Quarrying activities have increased by 0.3 percent.

أظهرت بيانات لجهاز التخطيط والإحصاء أن الناتج المحلي الإجمالي للدولة بالأسعار الثابتة بسنة أساس /2013=100/ سجل حوالي 206.58 مليار ريال في الربع الأخير من العام الماضي مقارنة بتقديرات الربع المماثل من العام السابق له /2018/ والبالغة 207.75 مليار ريال بانخفاض طفيف قدره 0.6 بالمئة، في حين تراجع بنحو 1.4 بالمائة بالمقارنة مع الربع الثالث لعام 2019 الذي سجل 209.52 مليار ريال.

كما تشير البيانات إلى أن الناتج المحلي الإجمالي /بالأسعار الجارية/ سجل في الفترة المذكورة حوالي 167.76 مليار ريال، بزيادة طفيفة بلغت نسبتها 0.2 بالمئة عن تقديرات الربع الثالث من السنة ذاتها، وبانخفاض نسبته 7.2 بالمئة عن الربع المماثل من العام 2018 والذي سجل 180.74 مليار ريال وفقا للتقديرات.

وبلغت تقديرات مساهمة أنشطة التعدين واستغلال المحاجر بالأسعار الجارية 54.68 مليار ريال مسجلة بذلك انخفاضا بلغت نسبته 19.0 بالمئة مقارنة بتقديرات الربع المماثل للعام 2018 والتي بلغت 67.51 مليار ريال.. لكنه سجل ارتفاعا بنحو 1.9 بالمئة قياسا بالربع الثالث من العام 2019.

وفي القطاع ذاته، بلغت التقديرات بالأسعار الثابتة 93.81 مليار ريال في الفترة المذكورة بتراجع قدره 3.4 بالمئة مقارنة مع الربع المماثل من العام 2018 والتي بلغت /97.14 مليار ريال/، كما تراجع القطاع بالنسبة ذاتها قياسا بتقديرات الربع الثالث لعام 2019.

وسجلت الأنشطة غير التعدينية في الربع الأخير من العام الماضي ما قيمته 113.08 مليار ريال /بالأسعار الجارية/ بانخفاض طفيف بلغ 0.1 بالمئة مقارنة مع الفترة المماثلة من العام 2018 والتي سجلت /113.24 مليار ريال/، غير أنها حققت نموا بواقع 1.2 بالمئة قياسا بالربع الثالث من العام 2019.

كما بلغت مساهمة هذا القطاع بالأسعار الثابتة 112.77 مليار ريال محققا ارتفاعا نسبته 2.0 بالمئة قياسا بالربع الأخير من العام 2018 والتي بلغت قيمتها 110.61 مليار ريال، لكنه سجل انخفاضا بمقدار 0.3 بالمئة بالمقارنة مع الربع الثالث لعام 2019.
