Qatar observes Earth Hour to spread environmental awareness

قطر تحتفل بساعة الأرض لنشر الوعي البيئي

Qatar observed yesterday Earth Hour, a global initiative to spread awareness about environment protection and climate change.

Many government and private institutions and companies including ministries, various hotels and private companies observed the event by switching off the lights of the buildings for an hour from 8:30pm to 9:30pm.

Earth Hour, which has ‘raise your voice for nature’ slogan this year, aims at creating awareness about protecting environment and climate change by reducing the carbon emissions.

أعلنت قطر أمس ساعة الأرض ، وهي مبادرة عالمية لنشر الوعي حول حماية البيئة وتغير المناخ.

احتفلت العديد من المؤسسات والشركات الحكومية والخاصة بما في ذلك الوزارات والفنادق المختلفة والشركات الخاصة الحدث بإطفاء أضواء المباني لمدة ساعة من الساعة 8:30 مساءً إلى 9:30 مساءً.

تهدف ساعة الأرض ، التي تحمل شعار “رفع صوتك من أجل الطبيعة” هذا العام ، إلى خلق الوعي حول حماية البيئة وتغير المناخ من خلال تقليل انبعاثات الكربون.
