Panda House Welcomes 5,000 Guests During Eid Celebration

Doha: Lulwa Mohammed Al-Muhannadi, the head of the Panda Park at the Ministry of Municipality, confirmed that the number of visitors to the Panda House during the blessed Eid Al-Adha reached 5,000 visitors, with an average of around 1,200 visitors per day from various nationalities. She noted that among the visitors, there were a significant number of Gulf families who made it a priority to include the park in their itinerary while vacationing in Qatar during the Eid holiday.

Lulwa Al-Muhannadi stated in an exclusive statement to Al-Raya that the number of Gulf visitors to the park has been steadily increasing since its opening in November of last year. Some visitors have even returned to the park multiple times, expressing their great admiration for it and inviting their friends and relatives to visit as well. The highest numbers of visitors came from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

Al-Muhannadi revealed that the total number of visitors to the Panda House during the seven months since its opening exceeded 115,000 visitors. The numbers significantly increase during the weekends and holidays. She also mentioned that the visiting hours are from 9 am to 5 pm. Furthermore, she emphasized that Qatar is the first country in the Middle East to host giant pandas and is the 20th country worldwide to possess these fascinating creatures.

الدوحة: أكَّدتْ لولوة مُحمَّد المهندي، مسؤولة حديقة الباندا بوزارة البلديَّة، أنَّ عدد زوَّار حديقة بيت الباندا خلال أيام عيد الأضحى المُبارك بلغَ 5 آلاف زائر بواقع حوالي 1200 زائرٍ يوميًا من كلِّ الجنسيات. وأشارت المهندي إلى أنَّ العديد من الأُسر والعائلات الخليجية قاموا بزيارة الحديقة، حيث قدَّموها كوجهة رئيسية أثناء إجازتهم في دولة قطر خلال عيد الأضحى المُبارك.

وفي تصريحات خاصة لـ الراية، أكدت لولوة المهندي أنَّ عدد الزوار الخليجيين للحديقة يتزايد بشكل مستمر منذ افتتاحها في نوفمبر الماضي، وأنَّ بعضهم يحرصون على زيارتها أكثر من مرَّة نظرًا لإعجابهم الشديد بها. وأشارت إلى أنَّ الزوار يقومون بدعوة أصدقائهم وأقاربهم لزيارة الحديقة، ويتصدَّر الزوار السعوديون والكويتيون والبحرينيون قائمة الجنسيات الأكثر تمثيلاً.

وكشفت المهندي أنَّ إجمالي عدد زوَّار حديقة بيت الباندا خلال 7 أشهر من افتتاحها بلغَ أكثر من 115 ألفَ زائر، وأنَّ الأعداد تزداد بشكل ملحوظ خلال عطلات نهاية الأسبوع. وأوضحت أنَّ مواعيد الزيارة تكون من الساعة 9 صباحًا وحتى الساعة 5 مساءً. وأضافت أنَّ قطر هي أول دولة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط التي تستضيف الباندا العملاقة، وأنَّها الدولة رقم 20 على مستوى العالم التي تمتلك الباندا.
