ExxonMobil Qatar Extends its Partnership with Al Shaqab for Five Years

Doha: ExxonMobil Qatar has announced the extension of its partnership with Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, to continue to be the main sponsor of Al Shaqab’s programs and Al Shaqab tournaments, including the Commercial Bank International Equestrian Championship and the “Longines Hathab” Tour, over the next five years, in the presence of HE Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Shaqab Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani and President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar Dominic Genetti.
Dominic Genetti, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar, said: “We are proud to expand our partnership with Al Shaqab, and to support its outstanding facilities and championships, which are internationally recognized in the world of equestrian sports.”
Genetti added: “Horse and equestrian arts have a special place in Qatari society, as this ancient sport is rooted in the depths of Qatari history and culture, so we are proud to support a sport that bears all this pride for Qataris, this is through our solid partnership with Al Shaqab, which is based on the human development pillar of Qatar National Vision 2030, and our commitment to the development of education, we are also pleased to continue to support the important role that Al Shaqab plays in providing an ideal learning environment for an ambitious and promising generation of riders in Qatar”.
For his part, CEO of Al Shaqab, Khalifa Al Attiya, said: “I thank ExxonMobil Qatar for its distinguished partnership over the past years, and for its support of our work and mission over the next five years, we are proud of our success in creating an ideal environment in Al Shaqab to support, promote and celebrate equestrian sport, and with the help of our partners, we will be able to build a world-class center in Qatar to host the worlds largest equestrian championships”.
It is noteworthy that ExxonMobil Qatar has been the main sponsor of the Al Shaqab International Equestrian Championship since its inception in 2013, which attracts some of the best jockeys and horses in the world, soon, the partnership between the two sides expanded to become ExxonMobil the main sponsor of Al Shaqab programs, in line with the company’s national strategy aimed at contributing to the development of education in Qatar, and creating an inspiring learning environment for students, and developing their leadership skills, believing that education is not limited to classrooms.
ExxonMobil Qatar’s cooperation with Al Shaqab comes under the umbrella of its well-established partnership with Qatar Foundation, which was launched in 2010, the year 2020 witnessed raising the level of partnership between the two sides in order to build on a ten-year cooperation relationship, this is towards a common vision of sustainability, and a commitment to help achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
Among the joint projects and initiatives between ExxonMobil and Qatar Foundation are: The World Innovation Summit for Education (WISE), Education Above All, Center for Pre-University Education, and “Your Health First” initiative

الدوحة: أعلنت إكسون موبيل قطر عن تمديد شراكتها مع الشقب- عضو مؤسسة قطر، لتواصل الشركة دور الراعي الرئيسي لبرامج الشقب وبطولات الشقب، بما فيها بطولة البنك التجاري الدولية للفروسية، وجولة “لونجين هذاب”، على مدى الخمس سنوات المقبلة، وذلك بحضور سعادة الشيخ جوعان بن حمد آل ثاني رئيس مجلس إدارة الشقب، والسيد دومينيك جينيتي، رئيس ومدير عام إكسون موبيل قطر.
وقال السيد دومينيك جينيتي، رئيس ومدير عام إكسون موبيل قطر :” نفخر بتوسيع شراكتنا مع الشقب، ودعم مرافقه وبطولاته المتميزة، والتي تحظى بتقدير دولي في عالم رياضة الفروسية.”
وأضاف جينيتي: “تحظى الخيل وفنون الفروسية بمكانة خاصة في المجتمع القطري، حيث تضرب هذه الرياضة العريقة بجذورها في أعماق التاريخ والثقافة القطرية، لذلك نفخر بدعم رياضة تحمل كل هذا الفخر للقطريين، وذلك من خلال شراكتنا الراسخة مع الشقب، والقائمة على ركيزة التنمية البشرية في رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030، والتزامنا تجاه تطوير التعليم، كما يسعدنا مواصلة دعم الدور الهام الذي يقوم به الشقب في توفير بيئة تعليمية مثالية لجيل طموح وواعد من الفرسان في قطر”.
ومن جانبه قال السيد خليفة العطية، المدير التنفيذي للشقب :” أتوجه بالشكر لإكسون موبيل قطر على شراكتها المتميزة طوال السنوات الماضية، وعلى دعمها لعملنا ولرسالتنا على مدى السنوات الخمس المقبلة. ونفخر بنجاحنا في خلق بيئة مثالية في الشقب لدعم وترويج رياضة الفروسية والاحتفاء بها، وسنتمكن بمساعدة شركائنا في بناء مركز عالمي المستوى في قطر لاستضافة كبرى البطولات العالمية في رياضة الفروسية.”
يشار إلى أن إكسون موبيل قطر هي الراعي الرئيسي لبطولة الشقب الدولية للفروسية منذ انطلاقها في العام 2013، والتي تستقطب بعضا من أفضل الفرسان والخيل في العالم، وما لبثت أن توسعت الشراكة بين الجانبين لاحقا لتصبح إكسون موبيل الراعي الرئيسي لبرامج الشقب، وذلك تماشيا مع الاستراتيجية الوطنية للشركة الرامية إلى الإسهام في تطوير التعليم في قطر، وخلق بيئة تعليمية ملهمة للطلاب، وتنمية مهاراتهم القيادية، إيمانا منها بأن التعليم لا يقتصر على حجرات الدراسة.
ويأتي تعاون إكسون موبيل قطر مع الشقب تحت مظلة شراكتها الراسخة مع مؤسسة قطر، والتي انطلقت في العام 2010. وشهد العام 2020 الارتقاء بمستوى الشراكة بين الجانبين في سبيل البناء على علاقة تعاون امتدت لعشر سنوات، وذلك نحو رؤية مشتركة للاستدامة، والالتزام بالمساعدة في تحقيق أهداف رؤية قطر الوطنية 2030.
ومن بين المشاريع والمبادرات المشتركة بين إكسون موبيل ومؤسسة قطر مؤتمر القمة العالمي للابتكار في التعليم (وايز)، ومؤسسة التعليم فوق الجميع، ومركز التعليم ما قبل الجامعي، ومبادرة “صحتك أولا”.
