Amir Attends Convocation Ceremony of Qatar Foundation Graduates

Doha: HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the convocation ceremony of graduates of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, which was organized by Qatar Foundation at Al Shaqab in the Education City on Tuesday evening.
The ceremony was attended by HH Chairperson of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, and HH Consort of HH the Amir Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al-Thani.
The ceremony was also attended by HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, Ministers and heads of the diplomatic missions accredited to the State and high-ranking officials, presidents and deans of colleges and members of the administrative and teaching staff, and parents of the graduates.
The ceremony celebrated the graduation of more than 800 male and female students from the class of 2022 from Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the partner universities of Qatar Foundation, joined by the Foundation’s graduates from the classes of 2020 and 2021.
The ceremony honored the late Dr. Fathy Saoud, the former CEO of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, for his role and contributions to the Foundation and its development. A position was announced to be established in the name of the late as a “Chair Professor” in biological sciences at the College of Health and Life Sciences at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.

الدوحة: شهد حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، حفل تكريم خريجي مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، الذي أقامته المؤسسة في الشقب بالمدينة التعليمية، مساء الأمس.
حضر الحفل صاحبة السمو الشيخة موزا بنت ناصر، رئيس مجلس إدارة مؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، وسمو الشيخة جواهر بنت حمد بن سحيم آل ثاني حرم سمو الأمير.
كما حضره سعادة السيد حسن بن عبدالله الغانم رئيس مجلس الشورى، وعدد من أصحاب السعادة الشيوخ والوزراء ورؤساء البعثات الدبلوماسية المعتمدين لدى الدولة وكبار المسؤولين، ورؤساء وعمداء الكليات وأعضاء الهيئتين الإدارية والتدريسية للجامعات، وأولياء أمور الخريجين.
وشهد الحفل تخريج أكثر من 800 طالب وطالبة لدفعة 2022 من جامعة حمد بن خليفة والجامعات الشريكة لمؤسسة قطر، بالإضافة إلى انضمام خريجي المؤسسة من دفعتي 2020 و2021 للحفل.
كما شمل الحفل تكريم الراحل الدكتور فتحي سعود الرئيس التنفيذي الأسبق لمؤسسة قطر للتربية والعلوم وتنمية المجتمع، وذلك لدوره وإسهاماته في تأسيس المؤسسة وتطورها، حيث تم الإعلان عن إنشاء منصب باسم الراحل كـ”أستاذ كرسي” في العلوم البيولوجية بكلية العلوم الصحية والحيوية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة.
