Gulf Health Council Praises Efforts of Qatari Health Sector in Organ Transplantation

Riyadh: The Gulf Health Council praised the medical efforts and achievements made by the Ministry of Public Health in the State of Qatar in the field of organ transplantation.
In a statement on Tuesday, the council explained that the field of organ transplantation in Qatar has become more comprehensive, as the organ transplant program has been developed to include operations: lung transplantation, kidney transplantation, and liver transplantation.
It pointed out that one of the most important achievements of the Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health is the increase in the number of organ donors to about 450,000.
The Gulf Health Council drew attention to the efforts made by the Hamad Medical Corporation team in organ transplantation, praising the high level of health care for patients in the State of Qatar.

الرياض: أشاد مجلس الصحة الخليجي بالجهود والمنجزات الطبية التي حققتها وزارة الصحة العامة بدولة قطر في مجال زراعة الأعضاء.
وأوضح المجلس في بيان له يوم أمس، أن مجال زراعة الأعضاء في قطر أصبح أكثر شمولا، حيث تم تطوير برنامج زراعة الأعضاء ليشمل عمليات: زراعة الرئة، وزراعة الكلى، وزراعة الكبد.
وأشار إلى أن من أهم إنجازات وزارة الصحة العامة القطرية ارتفاع عدد المتبرعين بالأعضاء إلى حوالي 450 ألف متبرع.
ولفت مجلس الصحة الخليجي إلى الجهود التي يقوم بها فريق مؤسسة حمد الطبية في زراعة الأعضاء ، مثمنا المستوى العالي من الرعاية الصحية للمرضى في دولة قطر.
