وزارة الصحة واللجنة العليا تدعمان حملة “لنعمل معاً”

Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) have announced their support for the #ACTogether campaign during the 2022 FIFA Arab Cup Qatar, which will continue until Dec.18.
Using the platform of the first FIFA Arab Cup, the World Health Organization (WHO), FIFA and the Qatari authorities are launching the #ACTogether campaign to call for teamwork and unity to ensure equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and tests.
A large proportion of the global population remains susceptible to infection and at an increased risk of severe disease and death, vaccine inequity persists in many parts of the world; of the nearly 7.5 billion doses of COVID-19 vaccines administered globally by mid-Nov.2021, only 0.6% had been administered in low-income countries, at the same time, only 0.4% of COVID-19 tests had been performed in low-income countries.
HE Qatar’s Minister of Public Health, Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, said: “The Ministry is proud to be partnered with FIFA and the WHO to promote global collaboration and ensure the safety and health of all while the pandemic remains managed in Qatar, it is present around the world, and unfortunately access to the tools to defeat the virus remain limited for many countries just as the players in the FIFA Arab Cup will experience a level playing field on the pitch in Qatar, we need to ensure a level playing field exists for getting vaccines, treatments and tests where they’re needed most, we also remind people to continue to follow hygiene and social distancing measures, and are delighted to have the chance to promote this vital message at the tournament.”
HE Secretary General of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, Hassan Al Thawadi, said: “The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will be the next mega-event to take place in a COVID-19 world, as organizers, the health and safety of all participants and fans is our number one priority, and our support for #ACTogether is an integral part of this commitment, working closely with the Ministry of Public Health, the WHO and FIFA, we have no doubt that this campaign will contribute to ensuring that the tournament will be both safe and secure, and we look forward to bringing the world together, both in person and digitally, to celebrate their common humanity and passion for football.”
FIFA President Gianni Infantino said: “Nobody is safe until everyone is safe, and we all have our roles to play in sharing that message health comes first, and through football, we can contribute to reinforcing the message that there is a need for equitable access to tools to fight the pandemic worldwide, teamwork is key to that, and that’s why we are standing together with the WHO, the Qatar Ministry of Public Health and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy and call for everyone to #ACTogether and lay the foundations for a healthy FIFA World Cup in 2022.”
“The emergence of the Omicron variant underlines the importance of global solidarity and working together to defeat the pandemic, I welcome the strong support from Qatar’s Ministry of Public Health, the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, FIFA and partners to support this vital message on the occasion of the FIFA Arab Cup,” said WHO Director-General, Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, “Now, more than ever, we need to facilitate equitable access to COVID-19 vaccines, treatments and tests, and encourage everyone to follow public health measures, fully funding the ACT Accelerator will help make the ambition of ending the acute phase of the pandemic a reality.”
The WHO is emphasizing the need to scale up access to vaccines, treatments and diagnostics, through support to the global Access to COVID-19 Tools (ACT) Accelerator equity initiative, as well as the importance of strict adherence to public health measures.
FIFA will utilize football’s substantial platform during the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 with a series of videos for broadcast, both in-stadium and around the country, team captains will also show their support for the message, while each participating member association will have assets to share with its fans via its social and digital platforms, the #ACTogether awareness initiative was first rolled out during the last edition of the FIFA Club World Cup in Qatar, in Feb. 2021, and its latest iteration stresses that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over.
In using the inaugural FIFA Arab Cup 2021 to share the message, FIFA and its partners are underlining their commitment to both fair play and equity in protecting public health, reflecting core values on the pitch, all while staying true to the main public health measures.
The #ACTogether campaign is being supported by the leading partner agencies of the ACT Accelerator initiative: CEPI, FIND, Gavi, The Global Fund, UNICEF, Unitaid, Wellcom, the WHO, the World Bank and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

الدوحة: أعلنت وزارة الصحة العامة، واللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، عن دعم حملة “لنعمل معاً” (#ACTogether) خلال كأس العرب FIFA قطر 2021 ، التي تتواصل منافساتها حتى 18 ديسمبر الجاري.
وتهدف الحملة التي أطلقتها منظمة الصحة العالمية والاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا)، إلى الدعوة للعمل المشترك وتوحيد الجهود من أجل ضمان الوصول العادل للقاحات وعلاجات واختبارات كوفيد-19، وذلك في ظل بقاء نسبة كبيرة من سكان العالم عرضة للإصابة بالأوبئة والأمراض التي قد تصل خطورتها إلى الوفاة، مع استمرار عدم المساواة في توزيع اللقاحات حول العالم.
وأعربت سعادة الدكتورة حنان محمد الكواري، وزير الصحة العامة، عن فخر الوزارة بشراكتها مع الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، ومنظمة الصحة العالمية، لتعزيز التعاون المشترك بما يضمن أمن وصحة الجميع، مشيرة إلى أنه رغم بقاء جائحة كوفيد-19 تحت السيطرة في دولة قطر إلا أن خطر الجائحة لا يزال مستمراً في مختلف أرجاء العالم.
وأضافت سعادتها: “نأسف لبقاء خطر الجائحة في أنحاء العالم لأن الأدوات والموارد اللازمة للتصدي لهذا الوباء لا تزال محدودة في عدد من الدول، لذلك يتعين علينا في الوقت الذي تتشارك فيه المنتخبات في بطولة كأس العرب تجربة مميزة من الأداء الرياضي على الملاعب في قطر التأكّد من حصول المشاركين على اللقاحات والالتزام بالإجراءات الاحترازية المطبقة خلال البطولة.”
ودعت سعادتها الجمهور إلى مواصلة تطبيق الممارسات الصحية والتدابير الوقائية والاحترازية، معربة في الوقت نفسه عن سعادتها في أن تتاح هذه الفرصة لإيصال هذه الرسائل الصحية الهامة عبر فعاليات كأس العرب.
من جانبه قال سعادة السيد حسن عبد الله الذوادي، الأمين العام للجنة العليا للمشاريع والارث: “ستكون كأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 أكبر حدث يقام في ظل جائحة كوفيد-19، وبصفتنا منظمين لهذا الحدث، فإن صحة وسلامة جميع المشاركين والمشجعين هي أولويتنا القصوى، وما دعمنا لحملة “لنعمل معاً” (ACTogether#) إلا جزءاً من هذا الالتزام. ومن خلال عملنا مع وزارة الصحة العامة ومنظمة الصحة العالمية والاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم، فإنه لا شك لدينا في أن هذه الحملة ستساهم في ضمان بطولة سالمة وآمنة، ونتطلع إلى التقريب بين الناس من أنحاء العالم، سواء شخصياً أو رقمياً، من أجل الاحتفال بإنسانيتهم المشتركة وشغفهم بكرة القدم.”
من جانبه، قال سعادة السيد جياني إنفانتينو، رئيس الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا): “لن يكون أحد في مأمن من هذا الوباء إذا لم نضمن سلامة الجميع منه، لذا يجب أن نسعى جميعا لمشاركة هذه الرسالة: الصحة أهم من كل شيء، ويمكننا من خلال كرة القدم أن نعزز هذه الرسالة التي تشرح ضرورة التوزيع العادل لأدوات مكافحة هذا الوباء، وأن العمل الجماعي هو مفتاح النجاح في هذا الأمر، ولهذا نقف اليوم جنبًا إلى جنب مع منظمة الصحة العالمية ووزارة الصحة العامة في قطر واللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث داعين الجميع للعمل سوياً ودعم حملة “لنعمل معاً” (#ACTogether) ووضع أسس صحية لكأس العالم FIFA 2022.”
وأكدت منظمة الصحة العالمية على ضرورة توسيع نطاق الوصول إلى اللقاحات والعلاجات والتشخيص، وذلك بدعم مبادرة الوصول العالمي السريع لأدوات مكافحة كوفيد-19، والالتزام الصارم بتدابير الصحة العامة.
وقال الدكتور تيدروس أدهانوم غيبريسوس، المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية: ” يؤكد ظهور متغير أوميكرون على ضرورة التضامن العالمي والعمل الجماعي للقضاء على هذا الوباء، وأنا مسرور جدا بالدعم القوي الذي تقدمه وزارة الصحة العامة في قطر، واللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث، والاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (الفيفا)، وباقي الشركاء من أجل تعزيز هذه الرسالة الحيوية في إطار كأس العرب.”
وأضاف: “نحن الآن بحاجة أكثر من أي وقت مضى إلى تسهيل الوصول العادل إلى لقاحات وعلاجات واختبارات كوفيد-19، ونحن نشجع الجميع على اتباع تدابير الصحة العامة، كما سيساعد التمويل الكامل لبرنامج الوصول العالمي السريع لأدوات مكافحة كوفيد-19 في جعل طموح إنهاء المرحلة الحادة للوباء حقيقة لا خيالاً.”
