FIFA Platform adds exciting range of accommodation options for fans

Doha: Offering an exciting range of accommodations to fans at reasonable prices, over 2,000 traditional and modern five-star camps are available for fans through FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Accommodation Platform (www.qatar2022.qa), said an official.
“A total of 200 five-star traditional camps are available inside the fan village at Al Khor,” said Executive Director of Housing Department at Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC) Omar Al Jaber.
Speaking to Qatar Radio recently, he said that each camp comes with two beds and a bathroom and can accommodate two people. In addition, Al Jaber said, the fan village will host various activities and will have giant screens for watching the matches.
“1,800 modern camps serving as fan accommodations, set up at Qetaifan Island, are also added to the platform,” said Al Jaber.
“The platform has received huge number of bookings as the demand surged after the announcement of tickets. So far about 130,000 rooms have been provided through the platform,” said Al Jaber.
He added that the platform was launched in March 2022 to provide fans with a range of accommodations during the mega sporting event.
The official said that the platform is providing multiple options including hotels of various star categories, giant cruise ships serving as floating hotels at Doha Port, service apartments and villas managed by a specialist hospitality service provider serving as temporary hotels.
“Another option added to the platform is camping and cabin-style accommodations in fan village located at a number of places,” said Al Jaber.
He said that another accommodation option is vacant homes, where community members can offer their spare homes through the platform.
To a question about floating hotels, he said that two giant cruise ships will serve as floating hotels during the World Cup and will anchor at Doha Port on November 10 and 14.
“The cruise ships will provide about 4,000 rooms to accommodate over 9,500 fans,” said Al Jaber. He said all facilities of the ships will be operational like theater, cinema, sport area, games, swimming pools, commercial outlets, and restaurants like during a regular trip, however, they will remain anchored at Doha Port until the end of the tournament.”
Regarding the prices of rooms at cruise ships, he said that prices will be according to the type and location of the rooms like see-facing or inside the ship.
He urged international fans coming to Qatar and have purchased match tickets to secure their accommodations by booking through www.qatar2022.qa, which offers multiple accommodation options to choose from.

الدوحة: من خلال تقديم مجموعة مثيرة من أماكن الإقامة للجماهير بأسعار معقولة، يتوفر أكثر من 2000 معسكر تقليدي وحديث من فئة الخمس نجوم للجماهير من خلال منصة الإقامة الرسمية لكأس العالم FIFA قطر 2022 (www.qatar2022.qa)، وذلك وفقاً لما قاله أحد المسؤولين.
حيث قال المدير التنفيذي لإدارة الإسكان في اللجنة العليا للمشاريع والإرث عمر الجابر: “يتوفر إجمالي 200 مخيم تقليدي بتصنيف خمس نجوم داخل قرية المشجعين في الخور”.
وقال في حديثه مع راديو قطر مؤخراً، إن كل مخيم يتسع لشخصين ويتألف من سريرين وحمام. وأضاف الجابر أن قرية المشجعين ستستضيف أنشطة متنوعة وستكون بها شاشات عملاقة لمشاهدة المباريات.
وقال الجابر: “تمت إضافة 1800 مخيم حديث تم إنشاؤها في جزيرة قطيفان لتكون بمثابة أماكن إقامة للمشجعين”.
لقد تلقت المنصة عدداً كبيراً من الحجوزات حيث ارتفع الطلب بعد الإعلان عن التذاكر. فقد تم توفير حوالي 130.000 غرفة حتى الآن من خلال المنصة”.
وأضاف أنه تم إطلاق المنصة في مارس 2022 لتزويد المشجعين بمجموعة من أماكن الإقامة خلال الحدث الرياضي الضخم.
حيث أن المنصة توفر خيارات متعددة بما في ذلك الفنادق من تصنيفات النجوم المختلفة، والسفن السياحية العملاقة التي تعمل كفنادق عائمة في ميناء الدوحة، والشقق الخدمية والفيلات التي يديرها مقدم خدمات ضيافة متخصص يعمل كفنادق مؤقتة.
قال الجابر: “تمت إضافة خيار آخر إلى المنصة وهو التخييم وأماكن الإقامة على طراز الكابينة في قرية المشجعين الموجودة في عدد من الأماكن”.
وقال إن خيار السكن الآخر هو المنازل الشاغرة، حيث يمكن لأفراد المجتمع تقديم منازلهم الاحتياطية من خلال المنصة.
ورداً على سؤال حول الفنادق العائمة، قال إن سفينتين سياحيتين عملاقتين ستكونان بمثابة فنادق عائمة خلال كأس العالم وسترسو السفينتان في ميناء الدوحة يومي 10 و 14 نوفمبر.
حيث ستوفر السفن السياحية حوالي 4000 غرفة لاستيعاب أكثر من 9500 مشجع”. وقال إن جميع مرافق السفن من مسرح وسينما ومنطقة رياضية وألعاب وحمامات سباحة ومنافذ تجارية ومطاعم ستتابع عملها مثل الرحلات العادية، لكنها ستبقى راسية في ميناء الدوحة حتى نهاية البطولة. “
وأضاف الجابر بخصوص أسعار الغرف في السفن السياحية، حيث ستكون حسب نوع وموقع الغرف مثل مواجهة البحر أو داخل السفينة.
