Ehteraz’s golden frame will not change due to third dose

Doha: The health centers of the Primary Health Care Corporation began yesterday morning to administer the third booster dose of anti-Coronavirus vaccines approved in Qatar “Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna”. which targeted, in its first phase, individuals at higher risk of Covid-19 who received the second dose of the vaccine eight months ago,the first booster dose was obtained by Dr. Abdullah al-Kubaisi, former Director of Qatar University, at Khalifa City Health Center, in the presence of Dr. Amal Al Yafei, senior consultant family medicine director of Khalifa City Health Center, and the local Visual and readable media.
On August 24, 2021, the Ministry of Public Health approved the third booster dose of anti-covid-19 vaccines for people aged 65 and over with weakened immunity,
Based on clinical studies, it has been found that the doses are not sufficient to stimulate immunity against Covid-19, as the approval of booster doses marks the beginning of a new phase of the National Covid-19 vaccination program, and 79.6% of Qatar’s total population has so far been fully vaccinated.
On changing Ehteraz application, Dr. Amal Al-Yafei explained: “This concerns other parties, but it is clear that whoever receives the third dose will continue to have a golden frame, the person must get the third dose within 12 months of receiving the second dose”.

الدوحة: بدأت صباح أمس المراكز الصحية التابعة لمؤسسة الرعاية الصحية الأولية بإعطاء الجرعة الثالثة من اللقاحات المضادة لفيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19» المعتمدة في دولة قطر «فايزر- بيونتيك» و»موديرنا»، التي تستهدف في مرحلتها الأولى الأفراد الأكثر عرضة لمخاطر فيروس كورونا الذين تلقوا الجرعة الثانية من اللقاح قبل ثمانية أشهر، وكانت أول جرعة ثالثة معززة قد حصل عليها الدكتور عبدالله الكبيسي-مدير جامعة قطر الأسبق-، في مركز مدينة خليفة الصحي، بحضور الدكتورة أمل اليافعي، استشاري أول طب الأسرة مدير مركز مدينة خليفة الصحي، والصحافة المحلية المقروءة والمرئية.
وكانت وزارة الصحة العامة قد وافقت في الرابع والعشرين من أغسطس 2021 على إعطاء الجرعة الثالثة من لقاحي التطعيم المضادين لفيروس كورونا «كوفيد – 19»، للأشخاص ممن هو 65 عاما فما فوق، والذين يعانون من ضعف في المناعة، حيث وبناء على الدراسات السريرية اتضح أنَّ الجرعتين لا تكفيان لتحفيز المناعة ضد الفيروس، حيث إنَّ الموافقة على الجرعات المعززة يمثل بداية لمرحلة جديدة من البرنامج الوطني للتطعيم ضد كوفيد – 19، وقد تم حتى الآن تطعيم 79.6 % من إجمالي السكان في دولة قطر بشكل كامل.
وحول تغيير تطبيق احتراز، أوضحت الدكتور أمل اليافعي قائلة: «إنَّ هذا الأمر تابع للجهات أخرى، ولكن من الواضح أن من يتلقى الجرعة الثالثة سيستمر لديه الإطار ذهبيا، فعلى الشخص ضرورة الحصول على الجرعة الثالثة خلال 12 شهرا من حصوله على الجرعة الثانية.»
