Inter debutant Correa scores twice in comeback win over Verona

Joaquin Correa made an immediate impact on his Inter Milan debut by scoring twice as the Serie A champions came from behind to win 3-1 at Hellas Verona on Friday.
Correa completed his move to Inter from Lazio on Thursday and came off the bench to snatch the points for Simone Inzaghi’s side, who have began their title defence with two wins from as many games.
The Argentina forward struck Inter’s crucial second seven minutes from the end, leaping high to power home Matteo Darmian’s cross and complete a second-half comeback after Lautaro Martinez had levelled shortly after the break with a header of his own.
He added the cherry to the cake in stoppage time when he gathered the ball and fired home the third with a precision finish.
Defeat was harsh for Verona who had deservedly taken the lead through Ivan Ilic in the 15th minute and gave Inter a battle throughout the match, but they are pointless after their two opening fixtures.

وأحرز الصربي إيفان إليتش، هدف التقدم لفيرونا في الدقيقة 15، قبل أن يرد إنتر بثلاثة أهداف، حملت توقيع الأرجنتيني لاوتارو مارتينيز، في الدقيقة 47، والوافد الجديد خواكين كوريا، الذي سجل هدفين في الدقيقتين 83 و90، في أول مباراة يخوضها مع “النيراتزوري”، بعد انضمامه إليه على سبيل الإعارة خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الحالية قادما من لاتسيو.
وبهذا الفوز، رفع إنتر، حامل اللقب، رصيده إلى 6 نقاط في صدارة ترتيب الدوري الإيطالي مؤقتا في انتظار اكتمال بقية مباريات المرحلة الثانية، بينما ظل فيرونا بدون نقاط في المركز الأخير.
