MOI warns against fraudulent text messages
وزارة الداخلية تحذر من رسائل الاحتيال النصية
The Peninsula Online – Doha:
Ministry of Interior (MOI) warned citizens and residents against fraudulent text messages stating that their bank card has been blocked and advised everyone to ignore such messages.
On its official twitter page, the Ministry encouraged recipients to immediately report the anonymous text to the Economic and Cyber Crime Department of the General Directorate of Criminal Investigation.
Citizens and residents of Qatar can report the scam text through the Metrash2 application or simply send an e-mail to the Economic and Cyber Crimes Department. They also encouraged citizens and residents to call the department’s hotline, 66815757 and telephone number, 2347444.
The Ministry emphasized its efforts in ensuring the cybersafety of its citizens and residents of Qatar.

الدوحة: حذرت وزارة الداخلية المواطنين والمقيمين من الرسائل النصية الاحتيالية التي تفيد بحجب بطاقتهم المصرفية ونصحت الجميع بتجاهل مثل هذه الرسائل. وشجعت الوزارة، على صفحتها الرسمية على موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “تويتر”، متلقي مثل هذه الرسائل على الإبلاغ الفوري عن الرسالة النصية المجهولة المصدر إلى إدارة الجرائم الاقتصادية والالكترونية بالإدارة العامة للتحقيقات الجنائية.
يمكن للمواطنين والمقيمين في قطر الإبلاغ عن رسالة الاحتيال من خلال تطبيق “مطراش2” أو ببساطة إرسال بريد إلكتروني إلى إدارة الجرائم الاقتصادية والالكترونية. كما شجعوا المواطنين والمقيمين على الاتصال بالخط الساخن للادارة على الرقم 66815757 ورقم الهاتف 2347444. وأكدت الوزارة على جهودها في ضمان السلامة الإلكترونية لمواطنيها والمقيمين في دولة قطر.
