Absence of mosques in the Industrial Area

Doha: A number of Industrial Area goers have called on the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs to find a solution to the problem of the lack of adequate mosques and praying areas in the Industrial Area to reduce the spread of dilapidated places of prayer set up by a number of workshop owners and companies in the region, and it is often difficult for worshippers to pray there because of lack of cleanliness.
They stressed that the Industrial Area, especially located between 34th street to 55th Street, does not have any mosque, whether for Friday prayers or daily prayers, which prompts employees, workshops and companies customers and agents to perform prayers in dilapidated mosques as well as others driving a long distance up to 30th Street to perform prayers at the Industrial Area Mosque, pointing out that the aforementioned area includes thousands of companies and sees the entry of tens of thousands of individuals, employees and customers, and surprisingly it is totally devoid of mosques.
They said that the Industrial Area in general needs at least 30 mosques for daily and Friday prayers to accommodate the large number of residents and goers who are present all day in the region because of their functions within companies or customers of garage goers, companies and factories.

الدوحة: دعا عدد من مرتادي المنطقة الصناعية وزارة الأوقاف والشؤون الإسلامية لإيجاد حل لمشكلة عدم توفر مساجد ومصليات كافية بالمنطقة الصناعية للحد من انتشار المصليات المتهالكة التي يقوم بإنشائها عدد من أصحاب الورش والشركات بالمنطقة، وغالبًا ما يصعب على المصلين تأدية الصلاة فيها بسبب افتقادها النظافة.
وأكدوا أن المنطقة الصناعية، خاصة التي تقع بين شارع 34 حتى 55 لا يوجد فيها أي مسجد سواء جامع لأداء صلاة الجمعة أو مساجد للفروض، ما يدفع الموظفين وزبائن وعملاء الورش والشركات لأداء الصلوات في المساجد المتهالكة فضلًا عن قيام آخرين بالقيادة مسافة طويلة حتى شارع 30 لأداء الصلاة في جامع الصناعية، لافتين إلى أن المنطقة المذكورة تضم آلاف الشركات وتشهد دخول عشرات الآلاف من الأفراد من موظفين وعملاء وزبائن، ومن المستغرب أن تكون خالية تمامًا من المساجد.
وقالوا إن المنطقة الصناعية بشكل عام تحتاج إلى ما لا يقل عن 30 مسجدًا للفروض والجمعة حتى تستوعب العدد الكبير من السكان والمرتادين الذين يتواجدون طوال اليوم بالمنطقة بسبب مهامهم الوظيفية داخل الشركات أو الزبائن من مرتادي الكراجات والشركات والمصانع.
