MME: Inspection campaigns to monitor violating cabins in Al-Furjan and Al-Wakra Beaches

Doha: The Ministry of Municipality and Environment took the necessary measures today in response to a complaint that was received by Watani Al Habib program on Qatar Radio yesterday about the dissatisfaction of some citizens with the spread of cabins in Al Furjan beach, and the presence of cabins along Al Wakra Beach.
Yesterday, a text message to Watani Al Habib program arrived from Mr. Abu Hassan about his dissatisfaction with the spread of cabins in Al Furjan.
In response to the complaint, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment stated to Watani Al Habib Program today that the inspectors are carrying out inspection campaigns on all areas of the administrative boundaries of Doha Municipality in order to monitor violators and take the necessary measures.
The municipality has also made clear some points concerning violations and its management, as wheeled cabins are considered moving vehicles whose violation falls under the Traffic Act.
Fixed cabins parked in the territory belonging to the state are violating the law of encroachment on state property, which is the jurisdiction of the technical control department in the concerned municipality.
As for the fixed cabins that stand in private lands, they are violated by the Hygiene Act, which is the jurisdiction of the General Control Department in the concerned municipality.
In response to another complaint received via text messages about dissatisfaction with the presence of camp cabins along Al Wakra Beach, the Department of Natural Reserves in the Ministry stated that the necessary action was taken towards the violators at Al Wakra Beach.
The administration clarified that there is a designated area at Al Wakra Beach for cabins, in which cabins can be placed only during weekends.
There is also a beach for families and a public beach for sea-goers, which is fully fenced and cabins are not allowed to enter it so that people can enjoy the beach and its facilities without inconvenience.

الدوحة: اتخذت وزارة البلدية والبيئة اليوم الإجراءات اللازمة رداً على شكوى وصلت لبرنامج وطني الحبيب عبر إذاعة قطر يوم أمس حول استياء بعض المواطنين من انتشار الكبائن في الفرجان، ووجود كبائن على طول شاطئ الوكرة.
ووصلت رسالة نصية لبرنامج وطني الحبيب يوم أمس من السيد أبو حسن حول استيائه من انتشار الكبائن في الفرجان.
ورداً على الشكوى، صرحت وزارة البلدية والبيئة لبرنامج وطني الحبيب اليوم بأن المفتشين يقومون بحملات تفتيشية على جميع المناطق التابعة للحدود الإدارية لبلدية الدوحة وذلك لرصد المخالفين واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة.
كما أوضحت البلدية بعض النقاط التي تخص المخالفات والإدارة التابعة لها، فالكبائن ذات العجلات تعتبر من المركبات المتحركة التي تقع مخالفتها ضمن قانون المرور.
ويتم مخالفة الكبائن الثابتة التي تقف في الأراضي التابعة لملك الدولة بقانون التعدي على أملاك الدولة والذي هو من اختصاص قسم الرقابة الفنية بالبلدية المعنية.
أما الكبائن الثابتة والتي تقف في الأراضي الخاصة فيتم مخالفتها بقانون النظافة والذي هو من اختصاص قسم الرقابة العامة بالبلدية المعنية.
ورداً على شكوى أخرى وصلت عبر الرسائل النصية حو الاستياء من وجود كبائن المخيمين على طول شاطئ الوكرة، أفادت إدارة المحميات الطبيعية في الوزارة بأنه تم اتخاذ الإجراء اللازم نحو المخالفين في شاطئ الوكرة.
وأوضحت الإدارة أنه يوجد منطقة مخصصة في شاطئ الوكرة للكبائن يمكن وضع الكبائن فيها خلال عطلة نهاية الأسبوع فقط.
كما يوجد شاطئ للعائلات وآخر عام مجهز لرواد البحر مسور بالكامل ولا يُسمح للكبائن بالدخول إليه ليتمكن الجمهور من التمتع بالشاطئ ومرفقاته دون مضايقات.
