QCB Denies QLM Life from Paying Interim Dividend

Doha: Qatar Central Bank said today that it did not approve QLM Life and Medical Insurance Company’s dividend distribution, given its quarterly financial statements were not audited.

The companys Ordinary General Assembly agreed to distribute an interim dividend to shareholders from under the profit account for the year 2021 and authorizing the Board of Directors to determine the appropriate amount for distribution and to take the necessary measures for this in accordance with the controls and approval of the Qatar Central Bank and other relevant authorities, and to the Boards decision at its meeting. Which was held on April 26 of this year, distributing four percent of the nominal value of the share as an advance from under the account of the profits of the current year 2021, after auditing and reviewing the companys quarterly budget as on 3/31/2021 and obtaining approval all competent authorities.

الدوحة: أفاد مصرف قطر المركزي بعدم الموافقة على توزيع أرباح مرحلية لشركة /كيو ال أم/ لتأمينات الحياة والتأمين الصحي /شركة مساهمة عامة قطرية/، وذلك استنادا إلى أن البيانات المالية الربع سنوية للشركة غير مدققة.

يذكر أن الجمعية العامة العادية للشركة كانت قد وافقت على توزيع أرباح ربع سنوية على المساهمين من تحت حساب الأرباح لعام 2021 وتفويض مجلس الإدارة في تحديد القدر المناسب للتوزيع واتخاذ الإجراءات اللازمة لذلك طبقا لضوابط وموافقة مصرف قطر المركزي وباقي الجهات ذات الصلة.

كما قرر مجلس إدارة الشركة بهذا الصدد، في اجتماعه بتاريخ 26 أبريل الماضي، توزيع ما نسبته 4 بالمئة من القيمة الإسمية للسهم كدفعة مقدمة من تحت حساب أرباح العام الحالي 2021، وذلك عقب تدقيق ومراجعة الميزانية الربع سنوية للشركة كما في 31 / 3 / 2021 والحصول على موافقة كافة جهات الاختصاص.
