Complaints about Netflix billing, CRA issues order
شكاوى بشأن فواتير “نتفليكس” وتنظيم الاتصالات تصدر أمرا
Doha: Qatar’s Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA) issued a decision and order to Ooredoo Qatar to take corrective action related to “Netflix” platform subscription service
CRA had received several complaints from Ooredoo customers about incorrect billing and unauthorized transactions related to Netflix’s subscription service.
CRA issued this decision and order to Ooredoo, in line with the Authority’s keenness to balance the rights of consumers and telecommunications companies in Qatar, and to ensure the availability of advanced, innovative and reliable communications services serving all parts of the country.
The Authority advised telecommunications service users to check their invoices regularly before completing the payment, and not to pay for a service they did not request or activate.
The Authority said if consumers have any doubt regarding their bill, they should contact their telecom service provider for clarifications. Moreover, they have the right to lodge a complaint to CRA if they have any issue related to their bill and the telecom service provider did not resolve it, or if they were dissatisfied with the offered resolution.
الدوحة: أصدرت هيئة تنظيم الاتصالات اليوم قرارًا وأمرًا لشركة الاتصالات “أريدُ” لاتّخاذ إجراء تصحيحي فيما يتعلّق بخدمة الاشتراك بمنصة “نتفليكس”.
وكانت الهيئة قد تلقت عدة شكاوى من عملاء شركة “أريدُ” بشأن فواتير غير صحيحة ومعاملات غير مأذون بها تتعلق بخدمة الاشتراك بمنصة “نتفليكس Netflix”.
أصدرت الهيئة هذا القرار والأمر لشركة “أريدُ” انطلاقًا من حرص الهيئة على تحقيق التوازن بين حقوق المستهلكين وشركات الاتصالات في دولة قطر، وضمان توفر خدمات اتصالات متطوّرة ومبتكرة وموثوق بها تخدم كافة أنحاء الدولة.
ونصحت الهيئة مستلهكي خدمات الاتصالات بضرورة التحقّق من فواتيرهم بانتظام قبل إتمام عملية الدفع، وألّا يدفعوا مقابل خدمة لم يطلبوها أو يقوموا بتفعليها.
ودعت الهيئة إلى التواصل مع شركة الاتصالات في حال كانت لدى أحد أيّ شكوك بخصوص فاتورتهم، كما يحقّ لهم تقديم شكوى للهيئة في حال كان لديهم أيّ مشكلة تتعلّق بالفاتورة ولم تقم شركة الاتصالات بحلِّها، أو لم يحصلوا على حلٍّ مرضٍ بشأنها.
