Rare new images of Prophet Ibrahim’s Maqam

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques released rare and new images of the Maqam Ibrahim using high-resolution photographic technology.

The official account of the Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques posted on Instagram a collection of rare and recent photos of Ibrahim’s Maqam.

The Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques said that The stone is square and has two egg shaped figures where Ibrahim’s footprints are which is black, white and yellow in color.

The stone width, length and height are 50 cm,

The shrine is located 10 to 11 metres to the east of the Kaaba’s door towards the section leading to Safa and Marwa.

The stone is considered archaeological and was built by Abraham – peace be upon him – when the Kaaba was built, where it is considered a ruby of paradise, as our Prophet Muhammad said: (The corner and the Maqam are two sapphires of paradise, God obliterated their light, and if God had not obliterated their light, they would have lightened what is between east and the west).

The General Presidency of The Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque announced the documentation of the Black Stone with the technology of “Fox Stack Panorama”, and the presidency of the affairs of the two holy mosques explained in a series of pictures published through its official account on “Instagram”, that “Fox Stack Panorama” is a technology in which the images are assembled with a different clarity, so that we have one more accurate image of the Black Stone.

ونشر الحساب الرسمي لرئاسة شئون الحرمين عبر موقع “انستجرام”، مجموعة صور نادرة وحديثة لمقام إبراهيم.

وأوضحت رئاسة شؤون الحرمين أن المعلم الديني عبارة عن مربع وفي وسطه أثر قدمي النبي إبراهيم -عليه السلام- وهي حفرتان على شكل بيضوي لونه بين البياض والسواد والصفرة.

ويبلغ عرض الحجر وطوله وارتفاعه 50 سم، ويقع أمام باب الكعبة على بعد 10 – 11 مترا من ناحية شرق الكعبة، في الجزء المتجه إلى الصفا والمروة.

ويعتبر الحجر أثريا وقام عليه إبراهيم -عليه السلام- عند بناء الكعبة المشرفة، حيث يعتبر ياقوتة من ياقوت الجنة كما قال نبينا محمد -صلى الله عليه وسلم-: (الركن والمقام ياقوتتان من ياقوت الجنة، طمس الله نورهما، ولولا أن الله طمس نورهما لأضاءتا ما بين المشرق والمغرب).

وكانت الرئاسة العامة لشئون المسجد الحرام والمسجد النبوى أعلنت توثيق الحجر الأسود بتقنية “فوكس ستاك بانوراما”، وأوضحت رئاسة شؤون الحرمين في مجموعة من الصور نشرتها عبر حسابها الرسمى على موقع “انستجرام”، أن تقنية “فوكس ستاك بانوراما” هي تقنية يتم فيها تجميع الصور بوضوح مختلف، حتى تنتج لنا صورة واحدة أكثر دقة للحجر الأسود.
