Mowasalat Karwa Partners with Microsoft

Doha: Microsoft announced Monday that it has entered into a partnership with incumbent public-transport services provider Mowasalat (Karwa) to accelerate its digital transformation program and create safe, personalized experiences for passengers.

Formalized in a memorandum of understanding (MoU), the partnership will include workshops to drive the delivery of innovative new solutions for the transportation industry in the State of Qatar. Deliverables will include roadmaps for implementation of Microsoft technologies. Current plans include development of the concept of Mobility-as-a-Service, and the delivery of Microsoft Power BI dashboards and Power Apps agile development.

The agreement was signed by Chief Administrative Officer Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Muftah on behalf of Mowasalat (Karwa), and Country Manager of Microsoft Qatar Lana Khalaf on behalf of Microsoft.

Mowasalat (Karwa) will also work with Microsoft to design and build a journey planner to enhance rider experience; and Microsoft will train Mowasalat (Karwa) employees, through a skilling and certification plan, in key areas in Microsoft technology. Microsoft will also instruct Mowasalat (Karwa) staff on how to leverage the Shifts & Scheduling app in Microsoft Teams, for the enhancement of operations management.

“Our goal is to put Qatar on the world map as a hub of innovation in the transport services sector. Together we shall design training programs that will help bridge the gap between technology companies and transportation entities. We expect Microsofts partner ecosystem to play an important role in building agile and modern solutions for Mowasalat,” he added.

الدوحة: أعلنت شركة مايكروسوفت، يوم الأمس، عن دخولها في شراكة مع شركة مواصلات /كروة/ الشركة المتكاملة لتقديم جميع احتياجات النقل الطرقي في دولة قطر.

وتأتي هذه الخطوة في إطار أهداف الشركة الرامية إلى تسريع برنامج التحول الرقمي وخلق تجارب آمنة ومخصصة للراكبين.

وفي سياق تفاصيل الشراكة، ستعقد بموجب مذكرة تفاهم وقعها الجانبان، مجموعة من ورش العمل الهادفة إلى تقديم حلول جديدة ومبتكرة لصناعة النقل في قطر، وستتضمن أيضا البنود المقرر إنجازها والمستهدفة خرائط طرق قائمة على تقنيات مايكروسوفت، وتطوير مفهوم خدمات التنقل بشكل عام، إلى جانب امتلاك رؤية تطويرية شاملة ومتكاملة من خلال استخدام قدرات أداة مايكروسوفت لتحليل المعلومات”Microsoft Power BI” وإمكانات تطبيقات “” Power Apps التي توفر بدورها بيئة تطويرية سريعة لإنشاء تطبيقات مخصصة وفقا لاحتياجات عمل الشركة.

وقع مذكرة التفاهم، نيابة عن شركة مواصلات /كروة/ السيد أحمد عبدالرحمن المفتاح، الرئيس التنفيذي للشؤون الإدارية لشركة مواصلات /كروة/ ، ونيابة عن شركة مايكروسوفت، السيدة لانا خلف، المدير العام لمايكروسوفت قطر.

كما ستعمل شركة مواصلات /كروة/ أيضا بالتعاون مع مايكروسوفت على تصميم وبناء مخطط يعزز من تجربة الركاب.. كما ستقوم مايكروسوفت بتدريب موظفي شركة مواصلات /كروة/ عبر رفع مهاراتهم وتزويدهم بالشهادات المعتمدة في المجالات المتعلقة بتكنولوجيا مايكروسوفت. فضلا على ذلك ستقدم مايكروسوفت خدمات الإرشاد اللازمة لموظفي شركة مواصلات /كروة/ حول كيفية الاستفادة من تطبيق إدارة الجداول ”Shifts & Scheduling” المتاح في منصة “”Microsoft Teams لتحسين إدارة عمليات التشغيل.

وأكد السيد فهد سعد القحطاني، الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مواصلات /كروة/، أن مايكروسوفت تعد الشريك المثالي لهم لتأسيس مؤسسة رقمية، مشيرا إلى أن هدفهم هو وضع قطر على خريطة العالم كمركز للابتكار في قطاع خدمات النقل.

من جانبه، تحدث السيد أحمد عبدالرحمن المفتاح، الرئيس التنفيذي للشؤون الإدارية لشركة مواصلات /كروة/ ، أيضا عن وجود خطة تدريبية مبرمجة من شأنها أن تساعد في سد الفجوة بين شركات التكنولوجيا ومؤسسات النقل.. كما نوه بالدور الكبير الذي تلعبه مايكروسوفت إلى جانب منظومة شركائها في بناء حلول مرنة وحديثة لشركة مواصلات /كروة/.

وأضاف “نبحث باستمرار عن مفاهيم مستقبلية لضمان تبوئنا للصدارة، ولا يقتصر تركيزنا على الخصائص المتعلقة بالعملاء مثل تطبيقات الحافلات العامة وتاكسي /كروة/، بل أيضا على تطوير عمليات التشغيل اليومية لتحسين سير الإجراءات.. وقد ساعدنا ذلك على تنفيذ فلسفة التركيز على احتياجات العملاء مع الاهتمام بالحفاظ على البيئة”.

وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي للشؤون الإدارية لشركة مواصلات /كروة/ أن الحلول القائمة على التكنولوجيا سيكون لها دور أساسي في ترسيخ إرث النقل المستدام في الدولة.
