More than 650 discounted products for the holy month of Ramadan

Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) announced Monday the list of discounted consumer goods for Ramadan this year which includes more than 650 products. The list, which is launched in cooperation with major shopping malls, comes into effect today and will remain applicable until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The initiative comes within the framework of the ministry’s efforts over the past years to meet citizens and residents’ needs of consumer goods at reduced prices during the holy month.

This year’s list includes all essential consumer goods needed during this holy month, such as flour, sugar, rice, macaroni, rice, oil, milk, chicken and other food and non-food items whose consumption increases during the holy month.

The list of discounted consumer goods has been circulated to all major shopping malls in the country, and is accessible to consumers through the Ministry’s website and social network pages.

The Ministry also indicated that, in the framework of making it easier for consumers to access the discounted goods, posters have been designed to be placed on the shelves to show the prices of Qatari and imported products and other reduced products

The Ministry called for adherence to the set prices until the end of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that it will intensify its inspection campaigns to detect violators and refer them to the competent authorities to take appropriate measures in order to protect the rights of consumers.

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry urged consumers to report any price violations, by contacting the call center 16001, or using the ministry’s accounts on social media sites.

الدوحة: أطلقت وزارة التجارة والصناعة مبادرة قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة لشهر رمضان المبارك لهذا العام، والتي تشمل أكثر من 650 سلعة، ويبدأ تطبيقها اعتبارا من اليوم وحتى نهاية الشهر الفضيل، وذلك بالتنسيق مع المجمعات الاستهلاكية الكبرى.

وتأتي هذه المبادرة السنوية في إطار حرص الوزارة على توفير احتياجات المواطنين والمقيمين من السلع الاستهلاكية بأسعار مخفضة خلال الشهر الفضيل.

وتشمل قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة، جميع السلع الأساسية التي يحتاجها المستهلك خلال الشهر الفضيل مثل الطحين، والسكر، والأرز، والمعكرونة، والدجاج، والزيت، والحليب وغيرها من السلع الغذائية، بالإضافة إلى السلع غير الغذائية مثل المناديل الورقية بأنواعها، وورق القصدير ومواد حفظ الأطعمة، والمنظفات بأنواعها، ومساحيق الغسيل بأنواعها وغيرها من السلع ذات الأهمية النسبية للمستهلك والتي يكثر استهلاكها خلال الشهر المبارك.

وأكدت الوزارة أنه تم تعميم قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة على جميع المجمعات الاستهلاكية الكبرى في الدولة، وأنه يمكن للمستهلكين الاطلاع على قائمة السلع الاستهلاكية المخفضة من خلال الموقع الإلكتروني للوزارة وكافة منصات التواصل الاجتماعي التابعة لها.

كما أشارت الوزارة إلى أنه في إطار التسهيل على المستهلكين للوصول إلى السلع المخفضة، فقد تم تصميم ملصقات لوضعها على الأرفف بحيث تُوضح أسعار المنتجات القطرية والمستوردة والمنتجات الأخرى المخفضة.

ودعت الوزارة إلى ضرورة الالتزام بالأسعار المحددة حتى نهاية شهر رمضان المبارك.. مؤكدة أنها ستكثف حملاتها التفتيشية لضبط المخالفين، وإحالتهم إلى الجهات المختصة لاتخاذ الإجراءات المناسبة وذلك حماية لحقوق المستهلكين.

وحثت وزارة التجارة والصناعة المستهلكين على ضرورة المشاركة المجتمعية في الإبلاغ عن أي حالات خاصة بمخالفة الأسعار، وذلك على هاتف مركز الاتصال 16001، أو حسابات الوزارة على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي.
