Capital Intelligence Affirms QIIB’s Rating at ‘A’

Doha: Capital Intelligence Ratings affirmed QIIB’s rating at ‘A’ with a stable outlook, which reflects the strength of QIIB’s financial position.

In its report, which monitors QIIB’s financial indicators, the agency affirmed the Bank’s long-term foreign currency rating at ‘A’ and short-term foreign currency rating at ‘A1’, after analysing the Bank’s performance and various financial indicators during the past period.

Capital Intelligence Ratings indicated that QIIB’s high rating is due to overall good assets quality, sound franchises in Islamic and retail banking segments providing strong customers deposit base, good capital adequacy and strong profitability.

The agency noted, “The rating is also based on the high likelihood of extraordinary government support in case of need, and on the government’s strong track record of support for Qatari banks, as the government’s financial capacity to support banks is also considered strong given Qatar’s sovereign rating at AA -.”

Capital Intelligence indicated that QIIB has a high-quality finance portfolio, supported by its strong risk mitigation strategies, and that ROAA is better than the sector average, supported by its broadly stable financing margins, as its repricing offset the higher funding cost, while benefiting from continued operations efficiency gains.

QIIB is also expected to continue achieving better than average results in the banking sector thanks to the cost of credit and the low cost-to-income ratio.

الدوحة: ثبّتت وكالة كابيتال إنتلجنس للتصنيفات الائتمانية، تصنيف بنك قطر الدولي الإسلامي /الدولي الإسلامي/، عند درجة (A) مع نظرة مستقبلية مستقرة، في تأكيد على قوة مركزه المالي.

وأشادت الوكالة في تقريرها الذي يرصد المؤشرات المالية الخاصة للبنك، بنقاط القوة الكثيرة التي يتمتع بها، مؤكدة أنها ثبتت تصنيف /الدولي الإسلامي/ عند درجة (A) على المدى البعيد ودرجة (A1) على المدى القصير، بعد تحليل أداء البنك ومؤشراته المالية المختلفة خلال الفترة الماضية.

وأشارت إلى أن التصنيف المرتفع الذي منحته للدولي الإسلامي يرجع إلى كونه يتمتع بجودة متميزة في أصوله، ولديه حصة قوية في قطاع التجزئة الخاص بالصيرفة الإسلامية المحلي، مع قاعدة ودائع قوية، فضلا عن كفاية رأس مال جيدة، وربحية قوية.

وأضافت أن “التصنيف يستند أيضا إلى الاحتمالية العالية للدعم الاستثنائي الحكومي، في حال الحاجة، ويستند هذا إلى سجل الحكومة القوي في دعم البنوك القطرية حيث تعتبر القدرة المالية للحكومة لدعم البنك قوية أيضا نظرا لتصنيف دولة قطر السيادي (AA -)”.

وبيّنت أن محفظة التمويل الخاصة بالدولي الإسلامي عالية الجودة ومدعومة بتخفيف قوي للمخاطر، كما أن العائد على أصول البنك يعتبر أفضل من متوسط العائد في القطاع المصرفي المحلي، حيث يستفيد البنك من مكاسب كفاءة التشغيل المستمرة، فيما يتوقع أن يتمكن من الاستمرار في تحقيق نتائج أفضل من المتوسط في القطاع المصرفي، نظرا لاستقرار هوامش أرباح التمويل، وانخفاض نسبة التكلفة إلى الدخل.

وقال الدكتور عبدالباسط أحمد الشيبي الرئيس التنفيذي لـ/ الدولي الإسلامي/ بهذه المناسبة “نحن سعداء للغاية بهذا التصنيف المرتفع عند مستوى A مع نظرة مستقبلة مستقرة، فهو يعني أننا على انسجام كامل مع الاقتصاد القطري الذي يتمتع بقوة ومكانة تجعله من الأفضل إقليمياً ودولياً، كما أثبت أنه ذو كفاءة استثنائية في مواجهة العوامل المستجدة والظروف غير المتوقعة”.
