Wind crashes camps in Sealine and Al Udeid, no casualties

Doha: Strong winds and sandstorms that took place in the country over the course of Friday and Saturday destroyed some camps located in the sealine area and in Khor Al Udeid, this happened after the sea level rose, reached the camps, and destroyed them completely. As a result, some cars were sunk, and the camps and cabins were destroyed, while parts of the camps were blown out to spread to the camping sites.

For the safety of all, campers called on the Ministry of Municipality and Environment to prevent camping in the same place where the same problem is repeated every year, especially since such storms may cause human losses if they occur at night while the camp owners sleep inside.

In spite of the successive warnings of the General Authority of Civil Aviation through its accounts on social media, about the phenomenon of high tides on the coasts of the country, especially the southeast. especially the south-east, coinciding with the presence of a marine warning with strong north-westerly winds and exceeding the tide to 2 meters. However, some did not take these important warnings seriously, which resulted in damage and material losses in the camps located on the coast in the Sealine and Al Udeid.

الدوحة: تسببت الرياح القوية والعواصف الرملية التي شهدتها البلاد على مدار يومي الجمعة والسبت في تحطيم بعض المخيمات الواقعة في منطقة سيلين وفي خور العديد، وذلك بعد ارتفاع منسوب المياه في البحر ووصولها إلى المخيمات وتدميرها بالكامل، ما نتج عنه غرق بعض السيارات، وإتلاف المخيمات والكبائن، فيما تطايرت أجزاء المخيمات لتنتشر في مواقع التخييم.

وطالب مخيمون وزارة البلدية والبيئة، منع التخييم في نفس المكان الذي تتكرر فيه ذات المشكلة كل عام، وذلك لسلامة الجميع، خاصة أن مثل هذه العواصف ربما تكون سببا في خسائر بشرية حال حدوثها ليلا وأثناء نوم أصحاب المخيمات بداخلها.

وبالرغم من تحذيرات الهيئة العامة للطيران المدني المتتالية عبر حساباتها على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، من ظاهرة المد العالي على سواحل البلاد خاصة الجنوبية الشرقية، وذلك تزامنا مع وجود تحذير بحري برياح شمالية غربية قوية وتجاوز المد البحري إلى 2 متر، إلا أن البعض لم يأخذ بهذه التحذيرات المهمة، ما نتج عنه إحداث أضرار وخسائر مادية في المخيمات الواقعة على الساحل بمنطقة سيلين والعديد.
