Municipalities Issued 1,294 Building Permits During February

Doha: The number of building permits issued by municipalities in the State of Qatar during the month of February reached 1294, a decrease of 6 percent compared to the previous month of January, in which the number reached 1,382 licenses.

A statement issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority showed a decrease in the number of building permits issued by all municipalities with the exception of Al Rayyan municipality, as Al Shahaniya municipality recorded a decrease of 41 percent, Al Wakrah (34 percent) and Doha (29 percent), Umm Salal (28 percent), Al Daayen, Al Khor (23 percent for each municipality), and Al Shamal (17 percent), while the increase recorded in Al-Rayyan municipality was (106 percent).

According to geographical distribution, Al Rayyan municipality came in the forefront of the municipalities in terms of the number of building permits issued in February, which reached 471 permits, or 36 percent of the total licenses issued, while Al Daayen municipality came in second place with 204 licenses, followed by the municipality of Al Wakrah, which issued 200 licenses, and Doha Municipality with 198 licenses.

The rest of the licenses were distributed over Umm Salal (107 licenses), Al Khor (51 licenses), Al Shahaniya (33 licenses), and Al Shamal (30 licenses).

The figures indicate that new building permits (residential and non-residential) accounted for 51 percent (662 permits) of the total building permits issued during last February, while building additions licenses accounted for 46 percent (599 permits).

Villa licenses topped the list of licenses, as they accounted for 68 percent (389 licenses) of the total licenses for new residential buildings, followed by the housing loan housing category with 20 percent (115 licenses), and apartment buildings by 7 percent (42 licenses).

Commercial buildings came at the forefront of new non-residential building licenses with a rate of 46 percent (42 licenses), followed by industrial buildings, such as workshops and factories, with 36 percent (33 licenses), and government buildings with 11 percent (10 licenses).

Regarding building completion certificates, the Planning and Statistics Authority data indicated that 338 certificates were recorded last February, compared to 352 certificates registered in January, a monthly decline of 4 percent.

Most of the municipalities recorded a decrease in the number of issued certificates, the most prominent of which was in Umm Salal (32 percent), Doha (27 percent), Al Khor (14 percent), Al Shahaniya and Al Wakrah (8 percent each), and Al Rayyan (2 percent), on the other hand, the municipalities of Al Daayen and Al-Shamal registered an increase of 51 percent and 50 percent, respectively.

Building permits and building completion certificates data are of particular importance as they are indicator of the performance of the construction sector, which in turn occupies an important place in the national economy.

الدوحة: بلغ عدد رخص المباني الصادرة عن البلديات في الدولة خلال شهر فبراير الماضي /1294/ رخصة، بانخفاض قدره 6 بالمئة مقارنة بشهر يناير السابق له والذي بلغ العدد فيه 1382 رخصة.

وأظهر بيان لجهاز التخطيط والإحصاء، يوم الأمس، انخفاضا في عدد رخص البناء الصادرة عن جميع البلديات باستثناء بلدية الريان، إذ سجلت بلدية /الشحانية/ تراجعا بنسبة 41 بالمئة، والوكرة (34 بالمئة)، والدوحة (29 بالمئة)، وأم صلال (28 بالمئة)، والظعاين والخور (23 بالمئة لكل بلدية)، والشمال (17 بالمئة)، بينما كان الارتفاع المسجل في بلدية الريان (106 بالمئة).

وبحسب التوزيع الجغرافي، فقد جاءت بلدية الريان في مقدمة البلديات من حيث عدد رخص البناء الصادرة في فبراير، والذي بلغ 471 رخصة أي ما نسبته 36 بالمئة من إجمالي الرخص الصادرة، في حين جاءت بلدية /الظعاين/ في المرتبة الثانية بواقع 204 رخص، تلتها بلدية الوكرة التي أصدرت 200 رخصة، ثم بلدية الدوحة بـ198 رخصة.. فيما توزعت بقية الرخص على أم صلال (107 رخص)، والخور (51 رخصة)، والشحانية (33 رخصة)، والشمال (30 رخصة).

وتشير الأرقام، إلى أن تراخيص المباني الجديدة (سكنية وغير سكنية) شكلت 51 بالمئة (662 رخصة) من إجمالي رخص البناء الصادرة خلال فبراير الماضي، في حين شكلت تراخيص بناء الإضافات 46 بالمئة (599 رخصة)، وتراخيص التحويط 3 بالمئة (33 رخصة).

وتصدرت رخص الفلل قائمة التراخيص حيث شكلت 68 بالمئة (389 رخصة) من إجمالي رخص المباني السكنية الجديدة، تلتها فئة مساكن قروض الإسكان بنسبة 20 بالمئة (115 رخصة)، ثم العمارات ذات الشقق السكنية بنسبة 7 بالمئة (42 رخصة).

كما جاءت المباني التجارية في مقدمة تراخيص المباني غير السكنية الجديدة بنسبة 46 بالمئة (42 رخصة)، تليها المباني الصناعية، كالورش والمصانع، بنسبة 36 بالمئة (33 رخصة)، ثم المباني الحكومية بنسبة 11 بالمئة (10 رخص).

وبخصوص شهادات إتمام البناء، أشارت بيانات جهاز التخطيط والإحصاء إلى تسجيل 338 شهادة في فبراير الماضي، مقابل 352 شهادة مسجلة في يناير بتراجع شهري نسبته 4 بالمئة.

وسجلت معظم البلديات انخفاضا في عدد الشهادات الصادرة، كان أبرزها في أم صلال (32 بالمئة)، والدوحة (27 بالمئة)، والخور (14 بالمئة)، والشحانية والوكرة (8 بالمئة لكل منهما)، والريان (2 بالمئة)، في المقابل سجلت بلديتا الظعاين والشمال ارتفاعا بواقع (51 بالمئة)، (50 بالمئة) على التوالي.

وفيما يتعلق بالتوزيع الجغرافي، أظهرت البيانات أن بلدية الريان جاءت في مقدمة البلديات من حيث عدد شهادات إتمام البناء الصادرة، والتي بلغ عددها 97 شهادة أي ما نسبته 29 بالمئة، في حين جاءت بلدية الوكرة في المرتبة الثانية بـ78 شهادة أي 23 بالمئة، تليها بلدية الظعاين التي أصدرت 68 شهادة أي 20 بالمئة، ثم بلدية الدوحة بـ 43 شهادة أي 13 بالمئة.. لتتوزع بقية الشهادات على بلديات أم صلال (23 شهادة)، والخور (12 شهادة)، والشحانية (11 شهادة)، والشمال (6 شهادات).

وتكتسب بيانات تراخيص البناء وشهادات إتمام المباني أهمية خاصة باعتبارها مؤشراً تقريبياً لأداء قطاع البناء والتشييد والذي يحتل بدوره مكانة هامة في الاقتصاد الوطني.
