South American World Cup qualifiers postponed

ANKARA: South American 2022 World Cup qualifiers were postponed on Saturday because of coronavirus travel restrictions, according to a statement.
The fifth and sixth rounds of the tournament scheduled for March were delayed to a later date, CONMEBOL, said the continental football governing body in South America.
It said dates for the postponed games will be decided in coordination between FIFA, the world football’s governing body, and CONMEBOL.

برلين: قرّر اتحادُ أمريكا الجنوبيّة لكرة القدم تأجيل جولتَين من التصفيات المؤهّلة لكأس العالم قطر 2022، إلى وقت لاحق، لعدم تيقن اللاعبين من إمكانية مشاركتهم مع منتخبات بلادهم بسبب القيود الخاصة بمكافحة جائحة كورونا.
وكان من المقرر إقامة الجولتَين الخامسة والسادسة لتصفيات كأس العالم بأمريكا الجنوبية يومَي 25 و26 مارس، ويوم 30 من الشهر ذاته، حيث كان من المقرّر إقامة مباراة قمّة بين البرازيل والأرجنتين.
