Cargo transportation at Abu Samra port resumes today

Doha: The movement of goods arriving and transiting from the Salwa border port in Saudi Arabia to the Abu Samra border crossing in Qatar resumes today. The General Customs Authority had earlier announced the implementation of a number of regulatory and precautionary measures on the movement of goods.

The precautionary controls require truck drivers coming from Salwa port to obtain a certificate certified by the Saudi Ministry of Health, which confirms that the PCR testing procedure is conducted at least 72 hours before the date of entry of the Abu Samra border crossing.

Drivers and trucks transporting goods to Qatar via the Abu Samra port are not allowed to enter the country, and the goods will be unloaded and reloaded onto local trucks by the importer or their representative at the port based on prior coordination with the port administration.

The General Customs Authority will apply customs procedures to imported goods at the port, and samples of goods will be taken for examination and analysis by the competent authorities within the country after the importer vows not to dispose of restricted goods until the approval of the competent authority.

The General Customs Authority explained that the transport of goods exported or re-exported from Qatar by local trucks through the Abu Samra port to the Salwa port will be carried out as determined by the Saudi authorities at the Salwa port.

الدوحة: تُستأنف اليوم «الأحد» حركةُ البضائع الواردة والعابرة من منفذ سلوى الحدودي في المملكة العربية السعودية إلى منفذ أبو سمرة الحدودي في دولة قطر. وكانت الهيئة العامة للجمارك قد أعلنت في وقت سابق تطبيق عدد من الضوابط والإجراءات التنظيمية والاحترازية بشأن حركة البضائع. وتُلزم الضوابط الاحترازية سائقي الشاحنات القادمة من منفذ سلوى بالحصول على شهادة مُصدّقة من وزارة الصحة السعودية، تثبت إجراء فحص «الخلو من فيروس كورونا» «كوفيد-19»، لا تقل مدة صلاحيته عن 72 ساعة قبل تاريخ دخول منفذ أبو سمرة الحدودي.

ولا يُسمح للسائقين والشاحنات التي تنقل البضائع إلى دولة قطر عبر منفذ أبو سمرة بالدخول إلى الدولة، وسيتم تفريغ البضائع وإعادة تحميلها على شاحنات محلية بواسطة المستورد أو من يُمثله في المنفذ بناءً على تنسيق مُسبق مع إدارة المنفذ. وسوف تقوم الهيئة العامة للجمارك بتطبيق الإجراءات الجمركية على البضائع المستوردة في المنفذ، وسيتم أخذ عينات من البضائع لفحصها وتحليلها من قبل الجهات المختصة بالقيد داخل الدولة، بعد تعهد المستورد بعدم التصرف بالبضاعة المقيدة إلا بعد صدور الموافقة من الجهة المختصة. وألزمت الضوابط جميع المصدرين للبضائع عبر منفذ أبو سمرة إلى منفذ سلوى بالتعليمات الصادرة عن الجمارك السعودية. وأوضحت أن نقل البضائع المصدرة أو المُعاد تصديرها من دولة قطر بالشاحنات المحلية عبر منفذ أبو سمرة إلى منفذ سلوى، وفقًا لما تقرره السلطات السعودية في منفذ سلوى.
