World’s largest calisthenics park inaugurated in Qatar

Doha: HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, inaugurated Tuesday the Calisthenics park in Meqdam camp, in conjunction with the National Sports Day.
The park has entered the Guinness World Records for being the largest of its kind in the world.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem Al Ali, and a number of ranking officers in the armed forces.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs received the Guinness World Records certificate, via video conference technology.

الدوحة: افتتح سعادة الدكتور خالد بن محمد العطية نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع، الأمس، ميدان/الكاليسثانيك/ الواقع بمعسكر/ مقدام/، وذلك بالتزامن مع اليوم الرياضي للدولة.
ويعد هذا الميدان، الذي تم افتتاحه الأمس، أكبر ميدان /كاليسثانيك/ في العالم من حيث المساحة والمعدات، حيث تم تسجيله في موسوعة “غينيس” للأرقام القياسية.
حضر حفل الافتتاح سعادة السيد صلاح بن غانم العلي وزير الثقافة والرياضة، وعدد من كبار الضباط في القوات المسلحة.
وعلى هامش حفل الافتتاح، تسلم سعادة نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء وزير الدولة لشؤون الدفاع، شهادة موسوعة “غينيس” للأرقام القياسية، من قبل القائمين على الموسوعة، وذلك عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي.
