New Issue of Al Diplomacy Magazine Released

Doha: The Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published the new issue of its quarterly magazine Al Diplomacy. The new issue focused on “preventive diplomacy” as an approach pursued by the State of Qatar in its political discourse and its practical approach to protect humanity from the scourge of wars.
The issue highlighted speeches by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani in regional and international platforms in which His Highness affirmed the importance of adopting dialogue as a method for resolving differences and that the State of Qatar plays the role of dialogue facilitator to reach fair solutions and settle disputes by peaceful means. It also underlined HH the Amir’s affirmation of the State’s participation in all international and regional efforts that seek to achieve peaceful coexistence.
The new issue also reviewed HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani’s statements that addressed the foundations for entrenching Qatar’s principles in preventive diplomacy. Through diplomacy only, intractable disputes can be resolved, His Excellency said, calling for more investment in diplomatic solutions and stressing that the State of Qatar does not believe in military solutions, and that it always believes in diplomatic solutions in all forms of conflicts.
The issue outlined the views of department managers and ambassadors on preventive diplomacy which is of great interest, and presented articles of a number of diplomats and ambassadors on various issues.

الدوحة: صدر عن المعهد الدبلوماسي بوزارة الخارجية العدد الجديد من مجلة “الدبلوماسي” الفصلية، وركز العدد على “الدبلوماسية الوقائية ” كنهج رسخته دولة قطر في خطابها السياسي، ونهجها العملي لحماية البشرية من ويلات الحروب.
وتناول العدد ما أكد عليه حضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى في كلماته وخطبه على المنابر الإقليمية والدولية على أهمية اعتماد الحوار أسلوبا لحل الخلافات، وأن دولة قطر تلعب دور المسهل للحوار والحلول العادلة وتسوية المنازعات بالطرق السلمية وتأكيد سموه على مشاركة الدولة في كافة الجهود الدولية والإقليمية التي تسعى إلى تحقيق التعايش السلمي.
واستعرض العدد ما تناوله سعادة الشيخ محمد بن عبد الرحمن آل ثاني نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء ووزير الخارجية من أسس ترسخ مبادئ قطر في الدبلوماسية الوقائية، حيث يؤكد سعادته انه “بالدبلوماسية فقط تحل النزاعات المستعصية ودعوته إلى الاستثمار أكثر في الحلول الدبلوماسية ويشدد على أن دولة قطر “لا تؤمن بالحلول العسكرية ونؤمن دائماً بالحلول الدبلوماسية في كافة أشكال الصراعات”.
وعرض العدد آراء مدراء إدارات وسفراء في الدبلوماسية الوقائية التي تحظى باهتمام كبير، كما تناول العدد مقالات لعدد من الدبلوماسيين والسفراء في قضايا مختلفة.
