Doha: FIFA officials welcomed al-Ahly’s team participating in the Club World Cup during yesterday’s video conference.
The meeting focused on introducing the players to all technical instructions for the tournament, in addition to explaining all the amendments related to arbitration and regulations, and precautionary and preventive measures.
Al Ahly players also participated in the international federation’s campaign to stop the coronavirus, through the official photography session that the players held yesterday inside the mission’s residence.
Coach Pitso Mosimane and a number of players sent awareness messages to prevent the coronavirus.
The team held their first training session yesterday at the University’s No. 1 stadium in preparation for the upcoming match against Al-Duhail next Thursday while Hussein Al-Shahat missed the training session.
On the other hand, al-Ahly mission received a notification that the medical swab that was carried out immediately after the arrival in Doha came negative for all the technical, administrative and medical staff and players except Mohammed Marjan, executive director of the club, whose swab was positive and accordingly Brigadier Marjan was temporarily isolated and will be re-scanned within the next 72 hours to confirm his safety.

الدوحة: رحب مسؤولو الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم ببعثة الأهلي المشاركة في كأس العالم للأندية خلال الاجتماع الذي عقد أمس عبر الفيديو كونفرانس.
وركز الاجتماع على تعريف اللاعبين بكافة التعليمات الفنية الخاصة بالبطولة، بالإضافة إلى شرح كافة التعديلات الخاصة بالتحكيم واللوائح المنظمة، والإجراءات الاحترازية والوقائية.
كما شارك لاعبو الأهلي في حملة الاتحاد الدولي لمواجهة فيروس كورونا، وذلك من خلال جلسة التصوير الرسمية التي قام بها اللاعبون امس داخل مقر إقامة البعثة.
ووجه مدرب الفريق بيتسو موسيماني، وعدد من اللاعبين رسائل توعية للوقاية من فيروس كورونا.
وكان الفريق قد خاض مرانه الاول امس على ملعب رقم واحد بملاعب الجامعة استعدادا للمباراة المرتقبة التي ستجمعه بالدحيل يوم الخميس المقبل في حين غاب اللاعب حسين الشحات عن التدريب.
ومن جهة اخرى تلقت بعثة الأهلي إخطارا يفيد بأن المسحة الطبية التي تم إجراؤها فور الوصول إلى الدوحة جاءت جميعها سلبية لكل أفراد الطاقم الفني والإداري والطبي واللاعبين باستثناء محمد مرجان المدير التنفيذي للنادي الذي جاءت مسحته إيجابية وبناء عليه تم عزل العميد مرجان بشكل مؤقت وسوف تتم إعادة المسحة الطبية له خلال الـ72 ساعة القادمة للتأكيد على سلامته.
