Al Shaqab Horses to Participate in KIAHF

Doha: Al Shaqab, a member of the Qatar Foundation, announced Saturday that 34 horses will take part in Katara International Arabian Horse Festival, which is held under the patronage of HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani from February 2 to 6, 2021.
HE Manager of the Breeding and Show Department at Al Shaqab Sheikh Hamad bin Ali Al-Thani affirmed that Al Shaqab’s participation in the Festival comes after a period of absence of participation in international tournaments due to the Coronavirus pandemic, adding that the highest participation of Al Shaqab in the Festival will be in the two categories of fillies.
He explained that Al Shaqab has a number of distinguished horses that will compete in the Katara Festival, adding that Al Shaqab is looking forward to achieving good results in the event.
The Manager of the Breeding and Show Department at Al Shaqab also noted that the Katara Festival will contribute to achieving great success in light of the stature of the Cultural Village Foundation, and the nature of the place at which the competitions will be held, saying the magnitude of participation in the Festival promises high-quality competitions and is in the interest of the Qatari equestrian in general and Arabian horse competitions in particular, while whishing all the Festival’s participants success.

الدوحة: أعلن الشقب – عضو مؤسسة قطر، الأمس، عن مشاركته بـ 34 رأسا من الخيل، ضمن مهرجان /كتارا/ الدولي للخيل العربية الذي يقام تحت الرعاية الكريمة لحضرة صاحب السمو الشيخ تميم بن حمد آل ثاني أمير البلاد المفدى، خلال الفترة من 2 إلى 6 فبراير المقبل .
وأكد سعادة الشيخ حمد بن على آل ثاني، مدير إدارة الإنتاج والجمال في الشقب، أن مشاركة الشقب خلال المهرجان تأتي بعد فترة من الغياب عن المشاركة في البطولات الدولية بسبب جائحة كورونا، مضيفا أن أعلى نسبة مشاركة من جانب الشقب في المهرجان ستكون في فئتي المهرات.
وأوضح أنه “لدى الشقب عدد متميز من الخيل التي ستخوض منافسات مهرجان /كتارا/ وخاصة في فئة الأفحل حيث سيشارك كل من وادي الشقب وفادي الشقب وفالح الشقب وهجرس الشقب وجليل الشقب، وجميعها من الجياد الأبطال التي شاركت في بطولات دولية وحققت الفوز بميداليات ذهبية”، مضيفا أن الشقب يتطلع للظهور بالصورة المأمولة وتحقيق نتائج جيدة خلال المهرجان .
كما نوه مدير إدارة الإنتاج والجمال في الشقب إلى أن تنظيم / كتارا / للمهرجان سيساهم في تحقيق نجاح كبير في ظل قيمة ومكانة مؤسسة الحي الثقافي، وطبيعة المكان الذي ستقام عليه المنافسات، معتبرا أن حجم المشاركة في المهرجان يبشر بأننا على موعد مع منافسات عالية الجودة، وهذا يصب في صالح الفروسية القطرية عامة ومنافسات جمال الخيل العربية الأصيلة بشكل خاص، ومعربا عن تمنياته بالتوفيق لجميع المشاركين في المهرجان.
