Qatar Airways launches flights to Seattle

Doha: Qatar Airways announced on Friday the launch of flights to Seattle (SEA) allowing passengers traveling from the Pacific Northwest even more flexible travel options via the most connected and Best Airport in the Middle East, Hamad International Airport (DOH).
Seattle marks the airline’s eleventh US gateway, surpassing the number of destinations it operated in the US pre-COVID-19. The four weekly flights will be operated by Qatar Airways’ state-of-the-art Boeing 777 featuring 42 seats in Business Class and 312 seats in Economy Class.
Kicking off 2021 by expanding its West Coast footprint with inaugural fights to the Emerald City comes as the airline continues rapidly rebuilding and expanding its network across the globe. The new flights from Seattle follow last month’s successful San Francisco (SFO) to Doha launch.
As a leading global connector, Qatar Airways currently operates over 800 weekly flights to more than 120 destinations, with plans to increase to over 130 destinations by the end of March. Passengers travelling to and from Seattle can enjoy seamless connections via the Best Airport in the Middle East, Hamad International airport with the widest network of destinations in Africa, Asia-Pacific, South Asia and the Middle East.

This new route will open doors for more tourism, business, and education opportunities. Opening this new route is just one more indicator of the growing ties between Qatar and the United States in all respects.”
As a oneworld partner, Alaska Airlines will connect customers from the US West Coast to Doha and beyond via its other hubs in Los Angeles and San Francisco, complementing Qatar Airways’ existing strategic partnerships with JetBlue and oneworld carrier American Airlines.

الدوحة: أطلقت الخطوط الجوية القطرية رحلاتها ،الأمس، إلى /سياتل/ لتمنح المسافرين من إقليم الشمال الغربي للمحيط الهادئ خيارات السفر الأفضل والأكثر مرونة عبر مطار حمد الدولي.
وأصبحت /سياتل/ الوجهة الحادية عشرة للناقلة القطرية في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، متجاوزة بذلك عدد الوجهات التي كانت تسيّر الناقلة رحلاتها إليها في الولايات المتحدة قبل انتشار جائحة “كوفيد- 19″، كما تسير الرحلات بواقع أربع رحلات أسبوعيّاً على متن طائرات الخطوط الجوية القطرية.
ويأتي تدشين الخطوط الجوية القطرية لرحلاتها إلى /سياتل/ ضمن جهودها لتعزيز عملياتها في الساحل الغربي للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وفي إطار مواصلة الناقلة لإعادة بناء شبكة وجهاتها بشكل متسارع في مختلف أنحاء العالم، وتأتي الرحلات الجديدة من /سياتل/ في أعقاب الإطلاق الناجح لرحلات الناقلة القطرية إلى سان فرانسيسكو في الشهر الماضي.
وتسيّر الخطوط الجوية القطرية حالياً أكثر من 800 رحلة أسبوعيّاً تتجه إلى ما يزيد عن 120 وجهة عالمياً، مع خطط لزيادة عدد الوجهات إلى 130 وجهة عالمياً بحلول نهاية شهر مارس 2021.
ويمكن للمسافرين الذين ينوون السفر من وإلى /سياتل/ مواصلة رحلاتهم عبر مطار حمد الدولي، إلى شبكة كبيرة من الوجهات العالمية في إفريقيا ومنطقة آسيا والمحيط الهادئ وجنوب آسيا والشرق الأوسط.
وقال سعادة السيّد أكبر الباكر الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: “يسرّنا أن نطلق رحلاتنا إلى هذه الوجهة الدولية التي تعد ّسوقاً تجاريّاً وترفيهياً في غاية الأهمية”.
وبوصف مطار /سياتل/ واحداً من أهم المطارات في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فإن المسافرين عبره سيتمكنون من الاستمتاع بأفضل خيارات السفر، وذلك عندما تنضم خطوط ألاسكا الجوية إلى تحالف oneworld في 31 مارس، بما في ذلك إمكانية السفر إلى ألاسكا وكندا وهاواي.
من جانبه، قال السيد براد تيلدن رئيس مجلس الإدارة والرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة خطوط ألاسكا الجوية “إن الخطوط الجوية القطرية تعد من شركات الطيران الاستثنائية التي تشتهر عالمياً بخدماتها ذات الجودة العالية، وأود التعبير عن فخرنا بالانضمام لهم في عضوية تحالف oneworld خلال شهرين من الآن.”

بدورها، قالت السيدة جريتا سي هولتز رئيس البعثة والقائم بالأعمال في سفارة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في قطر “يشرفنا أن نحتفل بإطلاق رحلات الخطوط الجوية القطرية إلى وجهة جديدة في أمريكا، على متن طائرة أمريكية الصنع من طراز /بوينغ/، وسيفتح هذا المسار الجديد المجال أمام المزيد من فرص السياحة والأعمال والتعليم، كما أن إطلاق هذا المسار الجديد بين الدوحة وسياتل ما هو إلّا مؤشّر آخر على الروابط المتنامية بين دولة قطر والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية من جميع النواحي”.
وتعمل كلا الناقلتين معاً عن كثب على تطوير اتفاقية الرمز المشترك بينهما وتعزيز التعاون التجاري، تماشياً مع انضمام الناقلة الأمريكية إلى تحالف oneworld في نهاية شهر مارس 2021.
