2,600 lighting poles to decorate Doha Corniche and Doha central area

Doha: The Public Works Authority announced the signing of two new contracts with two local companies to provide 2,600 lighting poles to decorate the Doha Corniche and the Doha Central District as part of the work of the Supervisory Committee for Beautification of Roads and Public Places in the country, in the presence of His Excellency #Ashghal President and a number of executives & officials of local firms.

The new lighting poles are distinguished by special designs that reflect the Qatari identity and locally-made materials. Lighting poles borrowed from palm fronds were designed to be installed along the Doha Corniche and other tree-shaped lighting poles to be installed in the central Doha area (Downtown Doha). The provision of 1,440 poles in the form of the palm frond, to be installed along the Corniche Street with a length of 10 km, with assigning material manufacture and supply to local firms to provide steel poles, bolts & lights.

Al Nasr Holding Company was assigned for design and supply of 1160 lighting poles shaped in local tree leaves to be installed in Central Doha. Manufacture & supply for aluminum poles, baseline bolts, aluminum lighting provisions & lights were awarded to local firms, too.

As for the increase in dependence on the local product for basic materials from 38% to 70% from 2016 to 2020, with a total value of about 18.5 billion Qatari riyals, and the value of local materials is expected to reach 24.5 billion riyals in the next five years (2021-2025).

الدوحة: أعلنت الهيئة العامة للأشغال عن توقع عقدين جديدين مع شركتين محليتين لتوفير 2600 عمود إنارة تجميلية لتزيين كورنيش الدوحة ومنطقة الدوحة المركزية ضمن أعمال لجنة الإشراف على تجميل الطرق والأماكن العامة بالدولة بحضور سعادة رئيس ⁧#أشغال⁩ وعدد من المسؤولين وممثلين عن الشركات المصنعة.

وتتميز أعمدة الإنارة الجديدة بتصميمات خاصة تعكس الهوية القطرية ومواد محلية الصنع، حيث تم تصميم أعمدة إنارة مقتبسة من سعف النخيل لتركيبها بمحاذاة كورنيش الدوحة وأعمدة إنارة أخرى على شكل أوراق الشجر لتركيبها في منطقة الدوحة المركزية (وسط الدوحة)، التعاقد مع شركة لايتينج ديزاين المحلية لتصميم وتوفير 1440 عموداً على شكل سعفة النخلة ليتم تركيب الأعمدة على امتداد شارع الكورنيش بطول 10كم، مع إسناد تصنيع المواد إلى مصانع محلية أخرى لتصنيع الأعمدة الحديدية ومسامير التثبيت وكذلك مصابيح الإنارة.

‏وقد تم التعاقد مع شركة النصر القابضة لتصميم وتوفير 1160 عمود إنارة على شكل أوراق الشجر المحلية لتركيبها وسط الدوحة مع إسناد تصنيع المواد إلى مصانع محلية أخرى لتوفير أعمدة الألومنيوم ومقابس التثبيت الفولاذية ومجسم الألومنيوم الخاص بوحدات الإنارة إلى جانب مصابيح الإنارة.

و بالنسبة لزيادة الاعتماد على المنتج المحلي للمواد الرئيسية من 38% إلى 70 % من 2016 إلى 2020 بقيمة إجمالية بلغت حوالي 18.5 مليار ريال قطري، ومن المقرر أن تصل قيمة المواد المحلية بنحو 24.5 مليار ريال في الخمسة أعوام المقبلة (2021-2025).
