Daily Mail: Qatar Airways is the world’s best in fighting Covid-19

Doha: Qatar Airways ranked first in the world on the “long-haul aviation safety” list against the Coronavirus, with Skytrax awarding the national carrier a five-star rating, the Daily Mail said.

“Qatar Airways has adopted a wide and robust range of safety and hygiene measures to accommodate customers, after assessing the standards on its flights and at Hamad International Airport. The newspaper pointed out that «Skytrax», which deals with the classification of airlines and airports around the world, found a wide spread of hand hygiene facilities at the high points of contact at Hamad International Airport.

Qatar Airways had recently increased the number of disinfectants across its network, ensuring full compliance by passengers.

Skytrax also monitored the proliferation of signs promoting safety policies for the epidemic, such as social spacing, especially when boarding, putting food on the table to reduce customer contact, as well as constantly cleaning surfaces, it said.

On January 9, Qatar Airways ranked first in the Arab world and the world’s second safest airline to travel in 2021, following a study of some 385 companies, according to The French newspaper Le Boan.

الدوحة: قالت صحيفة الدايلي ميل البريطانية: إن الخطوط الجوية القطرية حلّت في المركز الأول عالميًا في قائمة «سلامة الطيران للمسافات الطويلة» ضد فيروس كورونا، حيث منحت سكاي تراكس الناقلة الوطنية تصنيف «خمسة نجوم».

وأضافت: إن الخطوط القطرية تبنّت مجموعة واسعة وقوية من تدابير السلامة والنظافة لاستيعاب العملاء، بعد تقييم المعايير على رحلاتها، وفي مطار حمد الدولي. وأشارت الصحيفة إلى أن «سكاي تراكس» التي تُعنى بتصنيف شركات الطيران والمطارات حول العالم، وجدت انتشارًا واسعًا لمرافق نظافة اليدين في نقاط الاتصال العالية بمطار حمد الدولي.

وأفادت أن الخطوط القطرية زادت مؤخرًا من عدد المُطهّرات عبر شبكتها، مع ضمان الامتثال الكامل من قبل المسافرين.

وأوضحت أن سكاي تراكس رصدت أيضًا انتشار اللافتات التي تعزّز سياسات السلامة الخاصة بالوباء، مثل التباعد الاجتماعي، خصوصًا عند صعود الطائرة، ووضع الأطعمة على الطاولة لتقليل الاتصال بالعملاء، فضلًا عن نظافة الأسطح باستمرار.

وفي 9 يناير الجاري، احتلت «الخطوط القطرية» المرتبة الأولى عربيًا والثانية عالميًا بين شركات الطيران الأكثر أمانًا للسفر خلال2021، بعد دراسة شملت حوالي 385 شركة، وذلك بحسب صحيفة «لوبوان» الفرنسية.
