Qatar Airways Adds New US Gateway

Doha: Qatar Airways announced that it will add its 12th gateway in the U.S. with the resumption of four-weekly Atlanta flights starting 1 June.
The carrier will also significantly increase frequencies adding an additional 13 weekly flights to operate a total of 83 weekly flights across its 12 gateways. Having become the largest international carrier during the early stages of the pandemic, the airline has applied its unrivalled knowledge of global passenger flows and booking trends to rebuild its global network and cement its position as the leading Middle East airline connecting the U.S. with Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Having never stopped flying to the U.S. throughout the pandemic, we have steadily rebuilt our network, gradually resuming destinations and adding more frequencies. With the upcoming launch of Seattle and the resumption of Atlanta, we will reach 12 gateways in the U.S, two more than what we operated pre-COVID-19.

Seattle is the seventh new destination and the second in the U.S. to be added by Qatar Airways since the start of the pandemic. The launch of flights to Seattle and resumption of Atlanta will increase Qatar Airways U.S. network to 12 destinations in the U.S., connecting onwards to hundreds of American cities through strategic partnerships with Alaska Airlines, American Airlines and JetBlue. Atlanta and Seattle join existing U.S. destinations including Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), San Francisco (SFO) and Washington, D.C. (IAD). The national carrier of the State of Qatar continues to rebuild its global network, which currently stands at over 120 destinations with plans to increase to over 130 by the end of March 2021.

الدوحة: أعلنت الخطوط الجويّة القطرية عن إضافة وجهة جديدة لرحلاتها إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ليبلغ بذلك مجموع وجهات الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر في الولايات المتحدة 12 وجهة.
وذكرت /القطرية/ أنها ستستأنف رحلاتها إلى مدينة /أتلانتا/ الأمريكية في الأول من يونيو المقبل، وبواقع 4 رحلات أسبوعيّا، كما ستزيد عدد رحلاتها بشكل كبير، بحيث ستضيف 13 رحلة أسبوعيّاً، ليصبح مجموع رحلاتها 83 رحلة أسبوعيّاً إلى 12 وجهة في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
وقال سعادة السيّد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: “نفخر بكوننا الناقلة الرائدة في الشرق الأوسط، التي تقدم خيارات سفر آمنة يمكن الاعتماد عليها من وإلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، عبر مطار حمد الدولي”.
وأضاف أنه “في الوقت الذي لم نتوقّف فيه عن الطيران إلى الولايات المتحدة طوال فترة انتشار جائحة كورونا /كوفيد – 19/، فقد واصلنا إعادة بناء شبكة وجهاتنا، واستأنفنا العديد من وجهاتنا بشكلٍ تدريجيّ، مع إضافة المزيد من الرحلات”.
وأشار إلى أنه مع الإطلاق المرتقب لرحلات /القطرية إلى /سياتل/، واستئناف رحلاتها إلى /أتلانتا/ فإن عدد وجهاتها في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية سيصل إلى 12 وجهة، وهو أكثر بوجهتين مما كان عليه قبل انتشار جائحة /كوفيد 19/.
وتابع “وفي إطار التزامنا نحو السوق الأمريكي فقد واصلنا إبرام وتطوير شراكاتنا الاستراتيجية مع شركات الطيران الأمريكية، لنتيح لمسافرينا المئات من خيارات السفر الإضافية عبر خطوط ألاسكا الجوية، والخطوط الجوية الأمريكية وخطوط /جيت بلو/ الجوية. وفي الوقت الذي نتطلّع فيه إلى تعافي حركة السفر العالمية في عام 2021، فإننا سنواصل التركيز على توفير خيارات سفر سلسة وأكثر أماناً للملايين من المسافرين”.
وتماشياً مع إعادة الناقلة القطرية لبناء شبكة وجهاتها العالمية بشكل مطّرد فإنها تعتزم زيادة عدد رحلاتها إلى الوجهات التالية أتلانتا 4 رحلات أسبوعيّاً، اعتباراً من الأول من يونيو المقبل، شيكاغو 10 رحلات أسبوعيّاً، اعتباراً من 4 مارس، و دالاس فورت وورث بمعدل 10 رحلات أسبوعيّاً، اعتباراً من الثاني من مارس، وهيوستن بمعدل رحلة يوميّاً اعتباراً من 14 مارس، وميامي 3 رحلات أسبوعيّاً اعتباراً من الثالث من يوليو، وسان فرانسيسكو رحلة يوميّاً اعتباراً من الثاني من يوليو، و سياتل 4 رحلات أسبوعيّاً اعتباراً من 29 يناير، لتصل إلى رحلة يوميّاً اعتباراً من مطلع يوليو.
وتنضم أتلانتا وسياتل إلى وجهات الخطوط الجوية القطرية في الولايات المتحدة بما في ذلك بوسطن (BOS)، وشيكاغو (ORD)، ودالاسفورت وورث (DFW)، وهيوستن (IAH)، ولوس أنجلوس (LAX)، وميامي (MIA)، ونيويورك (JFK)، وفيلادلفيا (PHL)، وسان فرانسيسكو(SFO)، والعاصمة واشنطن (IAD).
كما تواصل الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر إعادة بناء شبكة وجهاتها العالمية، حيث تسيّر رحلاتها حاليّاً إلى أكثر من 120 وجهة وتعتزم زيادة عددها لتصل إلى 130 وجهة عالمية بحلول نهاية شهر مارس 2021.
