Covid-19 forces Apple to add exceptional feature in 2021 iPhones

Doha: Apple plans to add an exceptional feature in the design of the new iPhones for the year 2021, to overcome a crisis associated with the Coronavirus “Covid 19”.

Bloomberg said that Apple is considering adding the feature “fingerprint reader from inside the screen” in the next iPhone, explaining that the company began to think about implementing the feature early last year, especially with the wide reliance at the moment on the wearing of face masks because of “Corona”, which greatly hindered the use of the feature “fingerprint”, which was launched by Apple for the first time in the phone “IPhone X”, according to the site Russia today.

Bloomberg pointed out that “Apple” is still testing the technology “fingerprint reader from inside the screen” to include it this year, revealing in its report also that “Apple” discussed the removal of the port “Lightning” from some “iPhone” models in favor of wireless charging, after removing the power charger from the tray of its latest phone “iPhone 12” announced last September, under the pretext of environmental protection.

Bloomberg also reported that Apple has begun work on developing a folding phone, and has begun designing prototypes for folding screens, after many of its competitors introduced phones with that design, such as Samsung, which introduced the Galaxy Fold and Motorola.

الدوحة: تعتزم شركة “آبل” إضافة ميزة استثنائية في تصميم هواتف “آيفون” الجديدة للعام الجاري 2021، للتغلب على أزمة مرتبطة بفيروس كورونا “كوفيد 19”.

وقالت وكالة “بلومبرغ” الأمريكية أن “آبل” تفكر في إضافة خاصية “قارئ البصمات من داخل الشاشة” في “آيفون” المقبل، موضحة أن تلك الميزة بدأت الشركة في التفكير بتنفيذها في وقت مبكر من العام الماضي، خاصة مع الاعتماد الواسع في الوقت الحالي على ارتداء أقنعة الوجه بسبب “كورونا”، والتي أعاقت بشكل كبير استخدام خاصية “بصمة الوجه”، والتي كانت “آبل” أطلقتها لأول مرة في هاتف “آيفون إكس”، وفق موقع روسيا اليوم.

وأشارت “بلومبرغ” إلى أن “آبل” لا تزال تختبر تقنية “قارئ البصمات من داخل الشاشة” لكي تدرجها في العام الحالي، كاشفة في تقريرها أيضاً أن شركة “آبل” ناقشت إزالة منفذ “Lightning” من بعض طرازات “آيفون”، وذلك لصالح الشحن اللاسلكي، بعدما أزالت شاحن الطاقة من علبة أحدث هواتفها “آيفون 12” الذي أعلن عنه في سبتمبر الماضي، بدعوى حماية البيئة.

وذكرت “بلومبرغ” أيضاً أن “آبل” بدأت في العمل على تطوير هاتف قابل للطي، وبدأت في تصميم نماذج أولية للشاشات القابلة للطي، وذلك بعد أن طرح العديد من منافسيها هواتف بذلك التصميم، مثل “سامسونغ” التي قدمت هاتف “غلاكسي فولد”، و”موتورولا”.
