Bahrain announces opening airspace to Qatari aircraft Today

Doha: The Civil Aviation Affairs at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications in Bahrain announced that it will continue to allow Qatari aircraft in its airspace and to amend the navigational bulletins for Qatari planes as of Monday morning, January 11th, 2021, at 00:01 GMT, according to the Bahrain News Agency.
Last Friday, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) welcomed the signing of Al Ula statement “Solidarity and Stability” during the 41st session of the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) “Summit of Sultan Qaboos and Sheikh Sabah”, which witnessed the reopening of air borders by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt. And land and sea with the State of Qatar.
“This agreement paves the way for airlines to resume regional and global air connectivity, which reduces flight times, reduces operational costs for airlines, and provides essential air links that support the tourism and travel industry throughout the region,” IATA stated.
Mohammed Ali Al-Bakri, Vice President of the International Air Transport Association in Africa and the Middle East, said: “The reopening of airspace with the State of Qatar by Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE and Egypt is good news for travelers and the air transport sector, especially during these critical times, as the direct route of flights will contribute to facilitating the transfer and distribution of the Coronavirus vaccine globally, given the importance of the strategic location of the region and the continent-linking airspace.

الدوحة: أعلنت شؤون الطيران المدني بوزارة المواصلات والاتصالات في البحرين عن الاستمرار بالسماح للطائرات القطرية في مجالها الجوي وتعديل النشرات الملاحية للطائرات القطرية اعتباراً من صباح اليوم الإثنين الموافق 11 يناير 2021، وذلك في تمام الساعة 00:01 بتوقيت جرينتش، بحسب وكالة الأنباء البحرينية.
وكان الإتحاد الدولي للنقل الجوي (إياتا) رحب الجمعة الماضية بتوقيع بيان العلا “التضامن والاستقرار” خلال اجتماع الدورة 41 للمجلس الأعلى لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية “قمة السلطان قابوس والشيخ صباح” ، والتي شهدت قيام السعودية، البحرين، الإمارات ومصر بإعادة فتح الحدود الجوية والبرية والبحرية مع دولة قطر.
وقال الاتحاد – في بيان له: “تمهد هذه الاتفاقية الطريق أمام شركات الطيران لاستئناف الربط الجوي الإقليمي والعالمي الذي يقلص أوقات الرحلات ويخفض التكلفة التشغيلية على شركات الطيران ويوفر روابط جوية اساسية تدعم صناعة السياحة والسفر في جميع أنحاء المنطقة”.
وقال محمد علي البكري، نائب رئيس الاتحاد الدولي للنقل الجوي في إقليم إفريقيا والشرق الأوسط: “إن إعادة فتح المجال الجوي مع دولة قطر من قبل السعودية، البحرين والإمارات ومصر خبر سار بالنسبة للمسافرين و لقطاع النقل الجوي ،خاصةً خلال هذه الأوقات الحرجة، حيث سيسهم المسار المباشر للرحلات الجوية بتسهيل عملية نقل وتوزيع لقاح كورونا عالمياً، نظراً لأهمية الموقع الاستراتيجي للمنطقة والمجال الجوي الرابط للقارات”.
