Doha: For the fourth consecutive year, Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) has been named the “Best Islamic Bank in Qatar” in the 13th edition of the Middle East Banking Awards, presented by EMEA Finance, the leading finance magazine in Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
The prestigious award marks QIBs strong financial performance and the successful implementation of its business strategy. This recognition comes following QIBs success in maintaining its longstanding position as the leading Islamic Bank in Qatar, through introducing a set of market first innovative products, and a rapid acceleration of digital banking products and services.
In addition to being the first Islamic Bank in the world, and the only in Qatar to introduce a digital end to end personal Finance product, and the first Bank in Qatar to introduce other digital products such as the Digital Onboarding Solution, the Instant Credit Card, and fully end-to-end digital accounts for domestic workers, QIB has seen unprecedented levels of digitization of its banking offerings, namely through the award-winning QIB Mobile App.
Rated A1, A-/A-2 and A by Moodys, S&P and Fitch respectively with stable outlooks, QIB has also succeeded to maintain positive financial performance levels despite the challenges and the impact of the pandemic on the global economy.

الدوحة: حصد مصرف قطر الإسلامي (المصرف)، للعام الرابع على التوالي، جائزة “أفضل مصرف إسلامي في قطر” في الدورة الثالثة عشر لحفل جوائز الخدمات المصرفية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط التي تنظمها مجلة “EMEA فاينانس”، المجلة المتخصصة الرائدة في القطاع المالي في أوروبا والشرق الأوسط وإفريقيا.

كما نجح المصرف في الحفاظ على مستويات أداء مالي جيد في عام 2020 بالرغم من تداعيات جائحة كورونا (كوفيد-19) على الاقتصاد العالمي وتثبيت التصنيفات الائتمانية على A1 و A-/A-2 وA من قبل كل من وكالة “موديز” ووكالة “ستاندرد آند بورز” ووكالة “فيتش” على التوالي، وكلها ذات نظرة مستقبلية مستقرة.
وتعليقا على الفوز بهذه الجائزة، قال السيد باسل جمال، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة المصرف إن التتويج بهذه الجائزة للعام الرابع على التوالي دليل قوي على مكانة المصرف المميزة ضمن القطاع المصرفي في قطر، مؤكدا حرص المصرف على الابتكار وبمنح العملاء من الأفراد والشركات أفضل الحلول والخدمات المصرفية الرقمية، وأسرعها وأكثرها أمانا.
وأضاف أنه على الرغم من التحديات التي نواجهها في ظل جائحة كورونا، كان المصرف قادرا على إطلاق خدمات مصرفية رقمية ومتوافقة مع أحكام الشريعة الإسلامية، تمكن من خلالها جميع العملاء من إنجاز معاملاتهم المصرفية عن بعد، على مدار الساعة، وطوال أيام الأسبوع، من دون الحاجة إلى زيارة أي من الفروع.
